I'm going to wait until post warranty to do this. In the meantime, if I get desparate for more power I may pull the trigger on Dinan's Elite V2 computer model. I believe adding this this does not affect the factory warranty (I'll confirm prior to buying). The V2 is said to be worth 35 rwhp. Just my $.02...
i've had tons of engine and transmission work and replacements on my b58 under warranty, not willing to risk losing it...
Really? What issues? Thanks.

The horsepower number was right about where I thought it’d be but my torque number was a surprise. The midrange on these engines is que fuerte! Dyno graph attached. Now the question.....do I mod?
Wow these are base numbers for the standard 340 with m pack???

Those are some fantastic numbers for 91 and no bolt ones.

Is the motor making that much more power or is the tranny that much better at passing it on?

Probably a bit of both. BMW underrates their engines but the transmission is super efficient too. I don’t think these cars lose more than 10-12% getting the power to the wheels.
