Are these the stock exhaust tips?
Hello, I got my new to me 2019 F36 last year, and I wonder if the previous owner switched out the exhaust tips? The ones on my car are matte black and have this sand texture. I tried to researched this but it doesn't seem like anyone else has the same tips as mine. Does anyone know if these are stock?
Also, I am thinking about swapping them out for either the OEM black chrome and chrome M performance tips. Since I don't really have chrome other than the emblem and badges, I think the black chrome goes better with the black kidney grills. Which would you pick? Thanks! |

Have you tried cleaning? With something proper, like nevr dull? My girlfriend's 3 series looked like that. I thought the tips were black until I cleaned them and found out they were polished chrome under all that soot.

Good idea! But I doubt that's the case as when I bought it, it only had 2400km on it for them to be that dirty. Also, the finish is very consistent on the entire tip on both sides.

Try using the product called Barkeepers friend works like a charm on soot, however, be warned, only use a throw away, clean microfiber rag. Rag will be unusable after.
