Yes, Pro Nav goes into low light mode when it detects minimum light. Works perfectly....

On the subject of lighting...on the m sport does the ambient lighting stay on throughout the car when you drive or just when you are stationary?

On all the time. Like a tart's boudoir it is. Actually it isn't, it's really quite subtle.

@gatsojon "yes it does and changes the centre display from white to orange a the same time" Er, I'm embarrassed to say I've never noticed this!!!

This is my specialist subject (@zooberoo!!).

Well, Online Entertainment is basically a built-in bit of software that enables you to search for any song, album, artist you fancy and download it. It uses rara.com and works reasonably well if a tad slow. Think dial-up connection before broadband. Not too bad, as you are listening to track 1, tracks 2, 3 and sometimes 4 are downloaded by the time the first track ends.

Not worth it if you have a smartphone with spotify or napster or whatever. But a bit of fun if you just won £325 and can't think of anything else at all to spend it on!

That sounds like Suggested Contacts from Outlook, by default any email address you have use in Outlook is added to another Address Library called Suggested Contacts, this will be listed as another contacts list on your iPhone and idrive will be downloading this into the cars central Contacts list.

You can stop Outlook from creating Suggested Contacts, or you can go into your iPhone Contacts > Groups (blue link in top left of contacts screen) and hopefully you will see Suggested Contacts listed, try de-selecting that (but keep your main contacts selected) and then let the phone re-sync with the car.

It's really obvious on the HUD and it happens even when passing through underpasses

Does it sync contacts every time the phone connects, or does it create a local copy??
