error in Rheingold

Just used Rheingold by the first time and saw a slew of errors that my dealer never mentioned about. This one pertains to the FA coding of2TB. I have gone into FEMBODY and disabled paddle shifters yet I get this error:

CF2101 No message (operation of shift paddle, 0x207): Receiver EGS, trasmitter FEM/S2

Is the ECU still looking for the paddle shifters?

Thanks. That cleared the error in the EGS module.

Just activated Sport+ mode on my F20 2013 with manual trans.

Used the code:

ICM => IcmKod_B_Sportlenkung = verbaut

After coding, the car showed messages (and dash notifications) about tire pressure and stabilization. Turning the engine Off and On solved notifications but I found that the car's Service notification was reset and now I have notification like the car never been serviced (I'm planing to reset it).

Thanks a lot!

If you see s1, s2, s3 while in manual mode does that mean your car has SAT? Is SAT a hardware or software thing?

I am having a hard time finding the bottom two items in the Bimmercode app. Can you direct me to the right place. Is EGS called something else?

The EGS module was not previously editable with BimmerCode. Those two lines that you are looking for aren't for Sport+, they are actually for SAT....which is now a simple toggle option in the 'Transmission Control Unit' as Sport Automatic Transmission - Active or Not Active

Okay, that is what I was thinking since there was a toggle for that and no expert mode.

Do you know if LC can be coded using the Bimmercode app since you cant modify the EGS?

I'm not sure, to be honest.

Normally you need to edit the EGS module:

However, this guy says that coding in Sport+ and SAT enabled launch control for him:

Give it a try and report back. Make sure you have Sport + and SAT coded.

You have to drive at least 7 miles for LC to turn on.

Put the car into Sport +, move the shifter to the left.
Press on the brake HARD.
Press on the gas HARD, literally depress it as far as you can. (At this point, the car will do a "dip" and you'll hear the engine rev and tires starting to go) If the car does a dip when you press the gas, you're on the way.
Very important, wait 3-4 seconds with both the brake and gas depressed. Launch control takes a few seconds to start.
If done right, the flag will appear on the Dash and simply let go of the brake to take off.

It takes a few times to nail it, but it is very very satisfying. Again, my car for sure did not have LC from the factory and the only coding I have ever done was with Bimmercode. After buying an Esys cable, I found that LC was enabled. It could be that LC is enabled for everyone, but you can only access it with Sport + and SAT.

Let me know if ya get it!

I haven't had a lot of time to play around with the car but it appears it worked. The only thing that I can't get to happen is to get the flags to appear. I have done everything listed to engage LC but the flags done pop up.

The first couple times I did it the car would drop like mentioned but the flags didn't pop up so I continued to hold both the brake and gas to the floor. After 5 seconds or so of the engine holding at about 3500 RPMs it would drop down to 1000 RPMs or so as if the car was protecting the motor. When this happened it definitely didn't work.

The next time I tried I held it only for a few seconds after the car would drop and then let go of the brake. The flags didn't appear again but I would definitely say the car took off like a bat out of hell which I would think is LC.

In cars with Launch Control, if the brake isn't released within a few seconds the launch is aborted and the car drops back to idle, as mentioned in the post above.

The car was in Sport +, and the shifter was to the left right? On the headunit, it should show you in "S1".

Hey Guys,

did you manage to code the LC with bimmercode?

Also, when coding for sport+ in expert mode and enabling IcmKod_B_S2TBA do you have to disable IcmKod_B_S205A?

Best regards

I did the coding of

Kombi => 300C ECO_FDS =>Function

FDS_MENUE_TEXT_1 2 3 4 => menue_3
FDS_MENUE_SIGNAL_1 2 3 4 => menue_3

ICM/3000 Daten/IcmKod_B_Sportlenkung/ verbaut
ICM/IcmKod_B_S2TBA -> verbaut

EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter_alt -> aktiv
EGS/3000 Applikation -> Sportschalter -> aktiv

Sport+ shows up if you are on sport and press again the sport button on the idrive screen and on the dashboard.
It only doesnt show up in the overview you have, that one only shows:
Sport
Comfort
Eco Pro

Does anyone know which line should be coded to have them all 4 appear below each other in the instrument cluster?

Maybe I have missed this, but can someone put up an updated instruction for coding Sport +, LC, and all that goodness through the BimmerCode app? I see some things have changed from the original instructions and it isn't working for me so I know I'm missing something.

Thanks!
