I doubt it's possible to change the stop start parameters via fdl coding. This is part of the stop start logic and not every aspect of our cars is codeable.

When you changed it, did you reset the battery status (IBS)?

It's nothing at all to do with the battery condition.
In Janea's case, it's the outside temperature being at freezing point. Auto start/stop is disabled at or below 2.5C You could put a new battery on every single day, and it would do exactly the same thing |

Auto Start/stop SOLVED
just wanted to document my recent experience in the hopes someone may find helpful.
Car was in shop for body repair. Obviously, battery disconnected. Everything back to normal except the auto s/s wouldnt engage in times when i knew it should ie ambient temp, engine temp, etc. The s/s symbol would light up on the dash indicating disengagment. Pulling my hair out trying to figure out why! After 3-4 days, back to normal. Classic German electronics...fixes itself. FWIW
