Torque wrench can get expensive for a good one. BMW makes one specifically for wheels that only has one setting, think it originally came in the trunk tool kit.

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/71126769683/

From there you need a decent jack, Harbor Freight has a few that aren't too $$$ and a jack pad adapter - ECS sells that too. Finally - optional - Schwaben wheel hanger make sure you order the right one for your car. ECS has that too makes changing much easier.
Ah damn I'm wondering how I'd do it w/o a garage lol

I'm thinking if I should paint the rear ones or buy the M-Sport rear brakes and paint the front calipers to match them.
Yes I did paint the rears see below. I'm stage 1 and based on braking bias towards the front and the insane cost of the rear calipers I opted to paint mine
So you got the caliper cover for the front and painted the rear?

Looks good. I was looking at a used pair for around $300, will also need new 345mm rotors and coding. But I think I'll just keep them stock for now, till at-least I'm under warranty. Could you please upload a picture showing both painted calipers with wheels on, maybe more of rear wheel in frame? Thanks

Just in case - nothing worse than having the car up in the air and a lug is stuck or the wheel needs a little encouragement.
just get the ryobi impact gun, 99 dollars with a 4ah battery at homedepot right now

Those painted brakes do look amazing. Trying to decide if I want to go that route or bite the bullet and just get the m performance kit.

. . .

I also highly recommend the LSD to anyone considering it

Do some research before going with the OEM BBK - they make a rather annoying ticking noise and the rotors are not directional. There are better options out there for less money.

I moved my car from the driveway to the road, it's the most I've driven it in 8 days.

😣

200 total miles driven in the past 5 weeks.

Fuel is so cheap right now but we have no place or reason to drive (other than for fun)! Ironic.

traded my 442M's for some forged 19" 437M rims. 8-9lb per wheel is a pretty substantial weight savings. Came with Pirelli pzero's 255/35/19 and 275/30/19. Nice upgrade and no rub 👌😀

If you get a shop to do it, it's 2-3 hours in labor.
NorCal indy rate was $185 hour. 2.5 hours. $465 and you got someone with the right tools and a lift and fluid filled and done.

Do about 20 figure 8's and then lay down 11's until the cops show up!

Sticker machines coolness

So you know divided we can be about stickers? Especially the "M Performance" side decals with VERY white typeface.
How about... matte black decal with gloss black text?

(Ignore the side skirt, it's a mess)

Thanks go to wife and Valentine present of a Cricut machine. Thinking of making some Calvin stickers now!

Nice. I much prefer these in subtle form like this.

I had some custom made in Matt black for my black sapphire.
