I wish I had put the X-Drive on mine now I opted for Electric seats with memory instead.
This is my first 4wd/awd. I have never felt the need for it. The combination of building a cabin/house(steep hill) in the mountains this year and a really good x-drive campaign pulled the trigger

Question is would you get a next XDrive?

Personally I wouldn't order anything without xDrive now. Traction is all weathers is astonishing and I've pushed it to the limits a few times. Bearing in mind the torque generated, the transmission handles in amazingly well.

I think I may give it a try next round.

I did test drive one once and really liked it but I opted for electric seats with memory instead.

Same here. I've always managed with FWD, and if AWD had been an option I probably would not have gone for it. The same applies to the sunroof. Now that I have them I'd never get another car without them.

Well that is maybe to early to tell after 4 months. But the hill up to my cabin might not give me a choice. Other than the fuel consumption it is not any other downsides for me.

All of my BMWs have been xdrive (minus the 95) Definitely holds it own in the winter and rainy seasons of Europe and the Pacific Northwest. Definitely helps to give it that driving on rails feel whe in the twisters regardless of weather.

There is a little more maintenance (transfer case, extra differential) and possible failure of the front wheel CV boots. But this is a fact of life for any AWD vehicle.

Brown interior you mean Saddle Brown?

Interesting concept you are considering.
