Voted for mineral gray, as this is my personal fav out of that list. However, my wife doesn't like any of the provided colors and we already asked some questions for a personal color choice, which apparently is possible as well. Kind of wonder what my wife wants, though.. if we are going to take a different color, then personally I like Milano Beige a lot

He told me that he thought it was a bit pricey but if that is what makes me and my wife happy for the next 3-4 years, then I don't see why we shouldn't do this instead Last edited by svache; 01-31-2012 at 04:05 PM.. |

You only let us pick one color? Perhaps others differ on this, but BMW offer several colors I don't find objectionable, and would thus buy. Havana is my favorite color, but I'd buy just about any of them except that light blue.
Also, I'm more into the look of the outside and inside colors together, and there are quite a few nice combos. About the only thing I really don't care for is the beige interior, which is nice for a moment, but just too boring for me to have to look at day in and day out.

The color choices plain SUCK.
I don't mean to say that some of the colors are not good, they are. But, the choices and shades are pathetic, very limited with shades that are too close to each other. I loved the non metallic red BMW had, why get rid of it? I don't like a dark metallic red for cleaning, which is what is offered now. It looks good in pictures sure, but if you've owned this shade in metallic you know it's a bitch to keep clean. What happened to non metallic black? For all intents and purposes if you want a BMW with.....paint, then you're paying $450 for it, and there's nothing special about that $450 paint. It doesn't look any better than any metallic paint you get for free on any Hyundai or Mazda or whatever. I don't mind paying extra for special paint. But the way it is now we're just paying for any paint other than white. For me, the worst part is that I WANTED the flat red for my next BMW and now I can't get it. Oh, and the interior color choices are even worse. "Pearl" trim? Are you kidding me? What is that, a special color for Mary kay cosmetics fans? The red stripe accent on the dash is gaudy. Ok, you don't have to have it. But, the only other choice is black. Why not a matching brushed aluminum accent, or brushed polished steel, or brushed copper or at least something different. Instead, it's eye strain red or gloss black. They call the red accent strip "coral red", but it does NOT match the "coral red" leather, not even close. Ok. Enough. Rant mode: Off. Yea, I agree that the current selection sucks. Is it really necessary to have two blacks? Two whites? Two dark browns? There's way too many dark colors. I tend to favor the lighter metallic shiny colors. I wish they offered Mineral Silver Metallic.

My E36 that I owned from 1992 - 1998 was the flat red. Nice!!! To date I haven't had a metallic painted BMW but come M-Sport ordering time, Estoril Blue II will be my first choice. Moving with the times.

Are there some kind of public statistics about paint choice or does BMW keep this secret? I know that grey always works and white is trendy, but I wonder how well do the somewhat ballsy colors that have been showcased by the marketing (Malbourne Red, Estoril Blue II, Havanna/Mojave) actually work.
