Can someone tell me if FCW will work by VO coding my F31?

I already VO coded LDW and FDL coded to "default on" because I don't have the physical switch.
I already VO coded HBA. I retrofitted the switch.
I also coded Cruise Control and retrofitted the steering wheel buttons. The CC also brakes to maintain speed (I don't know if that's relevant or not).
I have KAFAS2 with Speed Limit Info (8TH) and road signs recognition from factory.

Everything works fine.

I have recently retrofitted Kafas2 but at the time of retrofit I was under the impression that FCW is part of ACC. But seems it's not after reading this thread.

The gentleman who helped me with coding VO coded below options
5AC High-beam assistant
5AD Lane departure warning
8TH SPEED LIMIT INFO
Now all three of them are working fine.

I can remove 5AD and add 5AS DRIVING ASSISTANT but I don't want to code the dependent modules and messup the things. So i need advice on below points

1. Do i need FSC code to enable FCW?
2. Can someone provide FDL codes for impacted modules after adding 5AS?

Note: I have retrofitted NBT Evo, 6wb, headup display, heated steering wheel and LCW. That's the main reason I'm hesitant to code the modules lol

Just an update to this

1. Yes we need FSC for FCW and pedestrian warning.
2. Removed 5AD and added 5AS and coded FEM, ICM, KAFAS2, KOMBI, NBT and DSC.

Now everything is working perfectly fine... LCW, LDW, SLI, HBA, FCW and pedestrian warning.

Hi I believe that problem to set distance on Nbt/evo maybe due to you need rewire OABR plug from 31 to 17 , from 32 to 19 , from 37 to 18 and from 38 to 20. Did you try it ?

i retrofitted acc, and it work perfectly
but i have a doubt about kafas, .
i have the sensation that pedestrian detection doesn not work
this should be a zeitkriterium related problem?

i coded icm, kafas, and dsc 0713 because earlier does not support the presence of adaptive m suspension with acc.
should pedestrian need a newer zeit?

I get lane assist as well with KAFAS2 and as soon as i go little bit over the lanes it vibrates and keeps in the line. I share this info to help the community and get going.

I still dont know what is the purpose of SRSNVR and SRSNVL since i dont have in my vehicle. And i am about to wire the ACC FRR-01 on my SA5AT project. I originally thought the front SRR sensors made for SA5AD LDW/LDP and since i dont have the 5AD i assume they switch the responsibility of front lane assist via KAFAS2?

I also have the NIVI so it might also play a role in the system. I see all kind of signs on the hood if i see pedestrian, bicycle, animal, i even saw a sign of kick scooter i swear

so i have recently had a bit of extra free time so i decided to try some of these retrofits that i tried in the past but was never able to make happen.

fcw is one of them.

there is a bit of misinfo here as well as some critical missing pieces, ill try and fill in what worked for me.

just fyi, my vehicle is a 2012.12 production f30. the production date matters. if you have a newer vehicle, even 2013.07, your hardware may be different (dsc, as well as your airbag module...) and some of this may or may not work for you.

first of, getting fcw to work is split into 3 parts.

1) the hardware. i wont go into this, but you need a kafas2 module and the camera on your wind shield. if you have sli you should be all set as far as hardware goes.

you will probably need / want the 3 button driver assistance switch as well. i believe the switch is not necessary but i cannot say for sure as i have it. just a bit of info... in lci, they changed the button for fcw... so if you order a button panel that has the vehicle with the diagonal line in front of it, its the same thing as the 2 cars with the "crash stars" between them.

note : when i say probably not necessary... people are essentially coding the 'default state' of the driver assistance systems (fcw, lcw, ldw) to be "on" and setting the "panel type" in fem_body to not present... i am unsure if kafas2 will complain if this is the case (eg: button panel disconnected, but listed as 'not present' anyways... so...)... but it does complain if you unplug the button panel with it set in fem_body to one of the available options (PF_BEFAS_LIN_VAR_LIN => TLC_HC2_IBRAKE in case of the 3 button one).

2) fsc. my car is updated to a very recent istep, 2022.03... and i was able to flash in a different cars fscs and they work just fine! hint, its all here... in korean... https://blitzguy.tistory.com/404. note, small chance you will brick your kafas2 module if you don't follow the instructions correctly... proceed at your own risk. btw... my sli fsc stayed as it was previously (i initially bought my kafas2 module used and retrofitted it to my car a few years back), and i just flashed the 2 fcw related fscs. so essentially i am running 2 foreign vin's fscs on a car that matches neither of them. sli and fcw work just fine

3) coding... this is where the production date of your car makes a difference... in my case, my 12.2012 production f30... i added 5ac and 5ad, and REMOVED 5as that i had in there from previous coding attempts. i also kept in the 5ag that i had factory fitted on my vehicle. so in summary, with a 3 button drivers assistance button panel i have 5ac 5ad and 5ag. i then proceeded to vo code kombi, icm, fem_body, kafas2 and dsc. i don't have a nbt but a cic so i just manually changed a couple of parameters that seamed appropriate. something along the lines of BRAKE_ASSISTANT (1 not 3!), and BRAKE_ASSISTANT_CONF.

final note, you won't get away with not vo coding your kombi... this is what had my hung up this time around... i though i could avoid vo coding my kombi and going over each of the settings and restoring my custom coding... but unless you vo code your kombi, the kafas2 module complains with code E06C3C. there is some sort of relationship between the kombi checking the status of your fcw elements (hardware), sending that to the fem_body and fem_body sending that to kafas2.

with the above my fcw works. it took 4 tries to be honest. once 4 years ago. then 3 times this time around. but it works.

bonus : pedestrian warning will not work without adaptive cruise control.

bonus 2 : you will probably want to vo-code your ema modules (seat belt tighteners). they get modified by by the presence of 5ad / 5ac. i believe its so that it tightens your seatbelt as you are about to smash into the vehicle in front of you i have not done this yet but will do so next time i have the car wired up to esys.
