Question PWG with Pure Stage 2 running flash only

Hi

Anyone with a PWG car running Pure Stage2 on flash only? Where was it tuned and do you have logs to show?

I am...Running through the motions of a custom tune with Twisted. So far base map targeted 18.5 PSI so logs of course weren't ideal, will report back once he adjusts. However, it already feels better than JB4 + BEF

Up until about 4500-5000, then the stock fueling can't take it and boost drops significantly. I'm hoping he adjusts down to 16 or so across the board and it will feel great.

Ok, I'd be very interested in seeing the final result. So please share if you are OK with that

once it is dialed in, of course! I have no qualms with sharing good looking logs.

I am flash only on my F25, but I am tracking down an issue that is either in the wastegate actuator or the vacuum control system.

All I know is I'm having difficulty getting above 13 PSI and boost tapers significantly past 5K RPM. these cars are a nightmare when you have an issue like this because it's not obvious what causes it.

Oh, and there's no boost leaks. Was tested up to 20PSI no problem.

Just throwing it out there but they've made some JB4 adjustments for the often problematic PWG cars. The new V2 systems are now fully integrated on boost control so you can set the basics in the flash and use the JB4 just for fine tuning like it was meant to be. No more of the F series PWG ISO stuff that was difficult to get perfectly dialed in.

The JB4 is not relevant for this post hence the title, but thanks for the input.

Jeff, yes stock fuel system on 93.

I've had it with JB4 and was happy with it for three years but now it is time for a different experience!

So you suspect the map to be the culprit? I got plenty of boost - 27psi peak in some of the revisions haha But the WGDC seems VERY tricky. My tuner just re-wrote the tables so fingers crossed for v20

I am a part of the MHD PS2 OTS beta-testing also. Their v22 is working very nicely with my car so I use that for daily between custom maps.

I don't think it's the map. I think it's a manual wastegate adjustment.

I don't think it's the map. I think it's a manual wastegate adjustment.
Around V6 I also re-adjusted my actuator to factory spec. I had loosened it up in a attempt to reduce over boost when I ran BM3 - didn't work though.

I haven't made the wastegate adjustment yet, but I am starting to think my PCV might be shot and I need the valve cover replaced. I am getting oil consumption (though, no obvious culprit, I have not seen oil dripping anywhere) and it points to an issue with the PCV. Going to see if I can smoke test the barb later this week.

Has anybody else here dealt with boost leak issues caused by a bad/stuck pcv?

Oil consumption is normal you if drive hard. Mine is using ~ 1l every 3000km. I am perfectly OK with that as I know it is driver dependent. If your car is otherwise driving well and dont idle funny then the PCV is probably ok...

No PCV problem. Well, there was, but it was caused by a vacuum leak on the exhaust flap mechanism. Now I know a fun way to fuck with someone

Anyways, here's a log: http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5cdba7b7c090c60cce3b4882

This look a lot better than when I ran BM3. I still think it is worrying to see 2psi overboost without throttle compensating. Also, when boost dip further and further under target in high RPM why does WGDC not increase to compensate? I would not be overly thrilled with that ign timing, but also not horrid.

I have a PWG with PS2, but I have the TTFS HPFP...

Im peaking at 25psi but holding 19-20 to redline. Just added meth, so maybe adding a little more once setup.
