F34 Brake Parts

2015 328iX GT (F34) just indicated needing front brake pads. I will use my local mechanic and order parts myself. Is the wear indicator a part that is replaced when pads are changed? Are there any other parts, other than the pads, that need to be ordered for front pad replacement? I’m expecting the rotors to have good life left on them. Are there any issues with resurfacing BMW rotors? The brakes are quiet and smooth now.
Also, is there much to resetting the service computer? I have coded features in my my car so I think I have access.

If the wear sensor has tripped it must be replaced, if not it may be used again. Resetting the iDrive has no relationship with coding. There are numerous youtube videos that show how it's done.
