N20 Part suppliers

Hey guys, where is everyone sourcing bolt on parts in Melbourne? Quoting around for an intake without the huge inflation costs

The challenge we have here is Australia is everything comes from either the US or Europe for our cars. We get hit hard on shipping and exchange rates.

Looking at the US prices certainly makes you feel we over pay, but once you include that shipping cost and factor in exchange rates which are hard costs you realise there really isn't much extra inflation to be had.

Is an intake really that much better than a bmc or K&N panel filter?

I think there's evidence to suggest that A/M Intake > K&N > Stock.

Here we see a great vid to test stock vs K&N. K&N comes in at a 2.6% improvement.

If you believe Injen's data on their Evolution intake, they suggest a 15hp increase on the test car.

I have the K&N. I'm getting an Evolution Intake and I'm going Dyno both.
