F30 Steering Wheel Leather Grainy

After looking at many pics on this car I still can't get on board with the interior. It looks rather disjointed to me. The position of the nav screen. The strange protrusion by the passenger left knee and now what I'm detecting as a grainy steering wheel. I love the steering wheel on my 535i sport. I think it's just the right feel texture and size. I have no problem with dakota leather, but I don't like to have it on the steering wheel.

Contrast with F10

The MSport looks like the leather is higher quality like the F10

Those msport wheels are to smooth imo...i want some kind of tatcile feel/something to grip, the sportline wheel looks to be the best of both worlds, nice and thick, and great feeling.

Just got back from the dealer, where I drove 328i Luxury and 335i Sport.

Yes, the wheel is a little grainy, as you say, but it does have good grip and is not at all uncomfortable. I actually think this will wear better than the F10 and F30 M-Sport, but will only be a factor if you keep the car a long time.
I replaced the stock wheel in my '02 E46 after a couple of years - that thing was way too skinny - and put in the fat M-Sport wheel. After almost 7 years, most of the outer covering has worn off.

Mm, I'm not sure but I've seen some pictures with a smooth sport steering too on the F30. It could be only on the heated steering?

Would be a shame, because I love the smooth one (drove a F10). I've sat in a F30 today but did not take notice of the steering wheel, if I'm correct it was a smooth sport steering without heating. I think the rendering pictures of the steering wheel are wrong.

I think, you're right. It may be the same kind of material but with a little more grainyness (lol) in it.

I think the M-sport wheel has Nappa leather, whereas the normal one has normal leather. And, after feeling it in the flesh, I can assure you the M-Sport wheel feels very nice.
