What do you mean with tails? the exhaust? You don't want to run the MPPSK exhaust without tail pipes

that only came on 2018+ models. if im not mistaken.

as for exhaust, MPPSK is lovely! but a bit pricey..... i went with the AWE exhaust.

Yes, these are the LCI taillights, introduced 2017 in Germany, but mine are actually the blackline version which I retrofitted since the normal ones have a too higher contrast in regards to the chassis color.

You could swith the language on this page :-)

I came from LCI lights, so I didn't need anything.

Yes if you have a pre LCI car it require some harness and a water rail

These blackline rear lights can be used plug and play at facelift cars from build of year 03/2017.

Please notice:
You need some kind of wiring to retrofit these lci blackline lights into pre lci cars. BMW offers different cable sets for 4 series cars.
Please check our online shop for correct cable set!
You will also need a new set of water drains if you want to retrofit these facelift lights into pre facelift cars.
Please check our online shop for correct water drains!
Car must be recoded, preferably at next official bmw dealer, after installation. Otherwise the lights will not work!

No worries, just make sure u get one where the blacklines are already standard. I think it was >2019, not sure in the US

even so, if i get a 2018, the blacklines are plug and play for the LCI models right?

i dont want to tamper with it and then deal with water damaging something down the road.

Hm, yes almost as plug and play and as from pre LCI. In both casese the water drain needs so be removed, otherwise the outer light will not come out.

Don't get door lights! They look cheap and nasty, especially the logo ones it just makes the car look like an eBay special.

I got mine off Amazon for cheap. I wouldn't recommend it because they faded and looked bad after a month.
