Flash ASD to allow changes

Hi guys,

Anyone know if I can downgrade the ASD module and also which was the last pzsd ( or Ilevel) the allows changes?

I would like to try theM3 S55 sound on my 335d but unfortunately this coding is not possible any longer on my istep.

Thanks

bump!

Whats is the latest PSZD data that still allows changes within ASD module?

A see a very common UK coder is offering that option and flashing newer cars which can then allow to change car models within the module.
Thanks

I was able to code it on my previous F30 LCI Production date 08/15 with I-Step 15-07-5XX but after it was updated to 16-03-5XX, I was no longer able to change the sound to F8x etc.

It's possible to downgrade the ASD module but that old firmware probably isn't hosted anywhere these days.

I have full-psdzdata from 11/2015 on my harddisk.
Maybe i can extract only the according files for updating/downgrading the ASD.

You can give it a shot and see if it works.

I'm not sure if it will work if your vehicle has ID5 or ID6 though.

Great.

My friend has a 640D early march 2016 and his ASD is fully programmable. My car is Nov 2016 and mines not. I must check what I-step he has.

Hello Guys,

I have a problem with downgrading ASD. I have a problem with downgrading to the older software. I have Esys 3.26 and data v54
When I try to flash ASD with this data Esys write "success" in green but the ECU software are still the same. It takes around a minute to flash it.

Is the downgrading process different from just flashing the ASD? Also is it possible to flash 2017 ASD module with 2015 year psdzdata?

Please advise. Logs from ESYS attached

I tried one more time and seems to me that there is no asd files in this psdzdata. I tried both 3.55 and 2.54 full
Guys, do you have any ideas why it happens?
Please advise

Can anyone advise please,

I've flashed my ASD with 2 different pszdatas now, mid 2015 and mid 2016 ( both downgrades, in order to get M3 sound, and every time i get an error in equalising fault code & and invalid coding dataalthough flash was successful?

Any ideas, thanks

Sorted!

ASD successfully flashed and updated to the latest Psdzdata with M3/M4 engine sound.

Sounds good, not too intrusive at all, a little bit louder then a stock diesel ASD sound, but I guess makes the driving experience a bit better.

After some time and playing around with it, all is good, and no need to downgrade the module at all!

This is still unanswered. I'm in the same boat. How did you solve this? Anyone?
