ZF8 Rough Shifting

I've recently starting noticing some rough shifts from my ZF8, primarily in the lower gears and at low speeds. After shifting to the next gear, it feels as if it's not completely engaging for a split second, during which the car cuts power. I'm at 85k miles and haven't done a transmission fluid change, and the car was shifting perfectly until a few days ago. I also don't have any codes. I thought it was my JB4, but turning it off doesn't help. The only other thing I can think of is something with the MAF sensor since I have a Mishimoto intake, but again there hasn't been a single CEL. Here's a YouTube clip for reference:

Any idea what could be causing this?

Following for curiousness.

Have you tried resetting adaptions on the gearbox?

Ista should show current setting of the clutches etc. Then you could reset. I've done this on mine as my first gear change is always a little harsh.

I've been shying away from getting ISTA, but I'll give it a try if all else fails. I was thinking it might be an air fuel issue since even in neutral/park it idles rough and feels like it may stall at times.

You're overdue, ZF recommends service around 50-60K miles. Service the transmission, reset adaptations and see if the issues go away.

Would recommend a service, I done mine at 100k the oil was filthy and lots of metal sludge caught in the magnets of the tray - albeit I believe this to be normal.

The kits are relatively cheap, but make sure you use ZF8 oil.

I was actually just going to post about my ZF8 being jerky. It seems to be rough on gears 1-3, especially when cold. Once it warms up it seems to be fine. I don't know if it is normal for me either. I changed the fluid and it was then very smooth. After some time though, it changed back to being jerky. But changing the fluid did make it less jerky than before.

Yeah mine is a little rough and slower while it warms up. Once it's at operating temp it's silky smooth, unless in sports mode with WOT. 1st is quite snappy and gives you a little push in the back when changing. Driving normally it's fine after 3-5 mins of driving

Mine was never rough, but after getting the ZF oil & filter/pan replaced (at 80k miles), it was so silky smooth.

I'd suggest a gearbox service.
