I've done the xenon retrofit to my car and I am having the hardest time coding them in. I was able to add 522 and 524 to VO but when it comes to FDL coding, it will not accept the changes. The error log returns back no errors but when i go to read VCM again, I can see that the changes did not take affect. I have tried injecting new CAFD but still no luck. I just bought a brand new laptop yesterday in order to run esys and am running 3.27.1 and launcher 2.8.0 build 143, laptop is an Acer core i7 win 10 64 bit, 8gb ram.

And for FDL Coding, you are using "Code FDL", and not "Code"?

Hi Shawn,

Yes I am using Code FDL button off to the right side menu and have the cafd file underneath Fem Body highlighted. i'm following these instructions off the guide exactly:

If you change parameter value, save it, then then "Code FDL", when you go back and read ECU, that parameter should have new value.

Yes, but for some reason after i code FDL and read ECU, it never saved. Have you seen an error like this before?

If you have error during Code FDL, then no, it won't be saved. I have no idea why you have this error though.

So I’ve been doing some research as to why I might not be able to code my fem_body. It looks like it may have to do with a missing cafd file due to psdzlite trimming after version 54? From what I read you may have been able to hep source the missing cafd file. Is that something you could possibly help me with? I would really appreciate any help at all. Thanks!

Missing CAFD has nothing to do with Trimmed CAFD. They are completely unrelated issues.

If you are missing a CAFD, either ECU would show no CAFD in SVT / ECU List, or ECU has CAFD but you are missing the corresponding CAFD in your PSdZData, in which case you would have a "[CO12] Missing CAFD" error when trying to Read ECU.

Do you have either scenario? I don't think so. I think your ECU has CAFD, and you have the matching CAFD in your PSdZData, and you have a "requestOutOfRange" error when coding ECU.

My dealer has just updated the ASD module, Is v.4.11.20_PSdZData_Lite the latest version because I get an error when trying to read BDC?
Other CAFD's are read OK.

PM sent. You only need to udpate PSdZData if car already has higher version than 63.3 on it, or if you want to flash it to something higher than 63.3.
