The delta between VER and HAM on Vmax is only about 4 km/h and even less so for PER.

The Red Bull leaps from the corners with their illegal torque management/traction control. Watch the Spanish GP again. In the last turn, the RB16-B practically leaps from the corner onto the straight and the W12 is only closing about 1/10th of a second.

All teams exploit rules, the speed delta Iím referencing is delta before the speed trap. I wasnít clear in my post, basically the acceleration to top speed happens quite a bit quicker with the Merc. Iíll try to take a snapshot of it. Iím going to check out your comment for corners and report back, how are they managing torque? Is it throttle mapping?

With DRS and slip stream and and without DRS. DRS is no joke.

Yes. You referred to VMax and not Delta V. This makes perfect sense with your caveat.

There is an article about the upgrades to the Honda PU performed during the last races and over the break. I will attempt to find it and share it here. The article details the process to improve the starting performance through adjustments in torque management with the Honda PU in the RB16B. I know that throttle mapping was included but also torque management and a few other parameters. While I know that Drive-By-Wire allows a modicum of throttle application mapping, actually managing the torque, electronically, should fall afoul of, "The car should be driven by the driver alone and without aid(s)."

This is foundational and should definitely be subject to the sanctions.

Well my friend , as we know It's almost impossible to overtake at Monaco .
This means that Checo has to be at least second row P4 at the startgrid .

From what we saw from him in the first four races , It's a "Mission Impossible"
But let us hope so...

What I fear at Monaco is HAM's hidden Warp-Speed in the tunnel ...
And of course the pitstop hammer ...While the clock is ticking !

In Monaco It's all about the softs C/4-5 (when dry) Good for Red Bull , as we know the Mercs are unbeatable with mediums

I'm thinking of the tunnel speed also and possible overtakes before the chicane.
We can only hope that on the track with the lowest average speed Checo will come into play and I expect other midfielders to move up also.

If it should rain then it may be some chaos but I expect the RB's superb starts to be a factor in a win here.
