B58 pcv cap and diaphragm manufacturing

I'm speaking with a seller on ebay who told me they are planning on beginning production of the B58 PCV CAP and diaphragm. If that's the case then all of the PCV issues we are having can be checked by purchasing the cap and diaphragm instead of doing an entire valve cover replacement. The seller already sells the diaphragm but no one makes a replacement cap so if you break yours trying to get it off you're screwed.

Is there interest in this item I'm curious? I recently broke my cap because I'm a monkey, so now I need to redo the whole valve cover for $500 myself....

The link to the diaphragm currently for sale

Would need more info on this "cap". How would it attach? How can you cut open the stock VC correctly?

You don't need to cut open the stock vent cap I just broke mine off being impatient when I removed it. Other people have had success removing theirs in one piece.

The way I got it off was to leverage a screw driver under it and it cracked then I removed it. I don't know this seller or the quality of the product but I was just posting this for anyone who searches for a cheap solution they can try before having a shop do the work for over 1k.

My guess is that it is a replica of the OEM cap that they 3D print or injection mold. But honestly I don't know.

Guess I'll look at my VC. It was my understanding the cap was plastic welded on.

We have a proper billet cap that will swap out with the factory cap, and allow a proper low side catch can to run with the stock VC coming soon. This will be for people who do not want the expense of switching to our full Billet B58 Valve cover. We will have all the B58 PCV bases covered here very shortly

I think they ban you for posting product links without being a vendor. I'd point to your IG or something.

Hello! I just replaced my PCV diaphragm with your kit and it all went well except for the cap. For some reason no matter how much I smacked and hammered the cap it wouldn't click/lock in place. Luckily I didn't break the stock one and just ended up replacing the spring and diaphragm. Just a heads up for the others, try to not damage the stock cap just in case. Cheers!

Are folks here (regularly, eg. after race day, days with hard pulls, etc.) checking pcv diaphragm for tears and replacing as preventative maintenance?

Leaning toward just deleting the whole thing and go VTA or OCC, eg. from Ross Racing.

No that's a bit extreme. I am contemplating just deleting mine though.
