In Sport or Comfort and S Mode it will shift auto and normally as it should.
When using Stage 3 in Sport+ mode with shifter in M/S mode it will set you up into race/roll racing mode. Meaning it wont auto up shift and will hold every gear to red line. Also, it will downshift you to the lowest gear possible upon initiating those settings.

read up on the description on the app for each stage because it does say, "Re-calibrated S/Sport+ mode for Roll-racing and race track use. Transmission keeps the engine in the upper rev range all the time..."

We don't need 2500rpm to drive in the city, that's why in D gears upshift early. When I need more power I just move to S and it downshift instantly.

I think you probably should have done more research before purchasing. These changes are documented decently well.

Btw, the shift point editor is available now, so you can tweak the shift points in D and S mode individually within the app.

I tried stage one and that feels really good. Back to how I’d expect it to be. In sport mode around town it stays in 5th whereas stage 2 loafs around in 8th. If I can change that with the shift points I might try. Just giving a 100% honest review.

why did they remove "race-mode" in v2.5 stg3
..?

Was wondering the same thing. Probably from too many people flashing stage 3 without reading and then complaining. Hopefully they make a stage 4 map?
I personally don't use the stage 3 map because comfort mode manual shifting was harsh on downshifts.
