Sorry for the late reply, I've been away with work the last month, and i won't be home for another month, Halim is still waiting on my datalogs, I'll post an update as soon as i can once i return home. But i have been running 24psi on 98 Ron (93) and its stupid how quick the car is on pump gas, not to mention loud! Once the e85 tune is sorted i will be heading to my local BMW tuner for a dyno run and then off the track for a qtr mile time.

I am back, so i have an update!
Clearly running a 100% E85 tune on the Bootmod3 platform at 22psi on the stage 2 turbo shows just where our HPFP Maxs out, huge bottleneck! After 3200rpm the HPFP goes from 2888psi to 1324psi and continues to drop at 4K the car literally acts as though i have a 4K rev limiter wont continue unless i reduce throttle input! So there you go HPFP is SH!T Next stop is to buy the Fuel-IT CPI kit, car just pulls even on 98 Ron @24 psi it hammers! I am yet to flash the XHP Tranny flash but i have flashed the PTF transmission flash and thats made some awesome changes! Dyno run. Will be in within the next 2 months, unfortunately these sorta of builds take some time to complete! Last edited by navardi; 10-21-2019 at 09:15 AM.. |

Only thing i found annoying was Precision Turbos had to cut the outlet off to machine the housing, although they can re-weld it back on. i chose not to as i went a slightly different outlet design had a 2 inch to 2.5 inch extender directly welded on. A break Down on costs Turbine Housing Machining ($770 AUD) Compressor Housing Machining ($150 AUD) Turbo Uprated Rebuild kit (inlcudes Better Journal Bearings and Thrust Bearing Upgrade $300 AUD) Turbo Balanced ($150 AUD) Compressor Wheel ($153 AUD) Turbine Wheel ($170 AUD) ~ Prices May vary slightly ~ I also bought the parts and rebuilt the turbo myself. |

Are you doing anything to help with mitigate the oil starvation/pressure loss under hard braking or hard left turns? I'm getting this pretty bad after my last session on track and am looking for some ways to reduce this. Most people recommend overfilling a bit to help with that. I'm also running 5w40 over the OEM fill of 0w20 which seemed to help a bit but I got hear whining coming out of turn 11 at laguna since there's walls/garages there to bounce back at me.

N20 Charge Pipe Port Injection Setup (Fuel It CPI setup)
Hey guys, i have another Build update!
Since our HPFP can't seem to support 100% E85 on 22psi, i needed alternative fuelling support. Fuel IT just released their CPi Kit, i grabbed one (to be precise i bought their B58 950cc kit as it comes with everything you need plus an extra fuel hose that you can just discard and i chose not to purchase the chargepipe meth bung adaptor as my FTP chargepipe has 3 1/8 NPT fittings). I will post some photos but its a relatively easy setup, screw the injector into your chargepipe, plug the 5/16 fuel line adaptor into your low pressure feed, and connect the 4an braided fuel hose between the 2. Electrical Setup: since the B58 kit comes with the JB4 FSB which is used to control the injector, simply find a ground terminal for the ground wire, 1 wire will not have a Dsub pin crimped on -- Just leave it be. plug the remaining wires into your jb4 as per the JB4 WMI FSB setup, i.e Red wire into a vacant Fuse slot in the fusebox (ensuring it has the electrical connection) the 2x dsub pins slide into the jb4. JB4 Setup: (set meth scaling to 100) go into the WMI settings and Enable "WMI Pump PWM then go to user adjustable settings and start off with Fuel Bias 50 and no less (if using the 950cc injector - ultimately if you want to run this much boost on EWG, 550CC is a MINIMUM!) basically from here do some datalogs and see how your HPFP handles if it drops by 100psi or more increase the Fuel Bias as needed, set mine to the following 3000rpm = 100 3500rpm = 100 4000rpm = 100 4500rpm = 100 5000rpm = 100 5500rpm = 100 6000rpm = 100 6500rpm = 100 7000rpm = 100 7500rpm = 100 (not that ill ever reach that rpm). ---- Terry from BMS is adding support for CPI and BMS PI controller to the firmware, as of originally writing this post the JB4 wasn't controlling the CPI properly, this firmware should be released soon check the N54 page for it. -Just adding a note the 950cc injector is actually too much for the engine, changed to a 550cc injector and it has fixed my scalars going negative. Navardi, have you thought about possibly seeing if the Supra B58 pump can fit on our cars with the flange modified? I am trying to figure out the Piston sizing as it seems very similar to the N55 version. So if we can figure out the piston sizing and see if the pump will fit we should be good for well over 500WHP.

The Brazilian hpfp is the exact same as mine 2900psi 240lph but you need to remember, stock turbo the factory hpfp is fine for 100% e85, larger turbo it isnt, the Brazilian car that made 382whp was running E40 mix. Realistically big turbo needs more fuel, the chargepipe port injection is great for e60 on a ps2 setup, once my port injection kit is finalized, i might consider selling them. But further testing needs to be done. |

The base of the hpfp pump on the n55 and n20s is virtually the same diameter, it should be a direct bolt on the problem is the hoses inlets and outlets are completely different orientations and having a look even if you wanted to swap pumps it would need a HDP5 Evo or HDP6 pump from the b58 to be somewhat of a worthwhile upgrade. But in saying all of this, i would buy a stock n55 pump to ensure the fitment is correct (obvs the hoses need to be worked out) if that works then go buy the expensive b58 pump.

So just a little update:
Turns out the CPI kit wasn't working for the n20, since the jb4 firmware didn't have the logic coded in, currently Terry is helping code in CPI and Port injection control via the bms port injection controller and for cpi the FSB configuration. I am almost finished the design phase of the Port Inj Setup. Then i will make the bracket, i am going to 3D print it from NylonX since this material is a tad stronger than the intake manifold it shouldn't have any problems, but i will be using the n55 phenolic manifold spacer to help disperse heat, might look at making it a kit and if anyone needs or want it. Might be down for selling a few, will work on pricing but expect slightly lower to the n55 fuel it DIY kit. Anyways will update how this process goes! |

I will keep this post updated i need to get the dimensions right, print it see if it lasts, then cut the n55 phenolic spacer to suit 4 cyls and not 6 (in theory you should be able to buy a n55 port injection kit then modify it for 4 cyls and not 6 and it should be a direct fit). Once i am confident ill work out pricing and offer it to purchase.
Although in the mean time Terry from BMS has managed to get the Fuel It CPi kit to work on the n20. |

Another fun update:
Precision Raceworks are developing Coil Packs the same used in the n55 for the n20 with a few test kits coming if interested email or Facebook message them! Cary from Jordan Tuned is going to be playing with them on the n20 platform and is managing my 98 RON tune. |

Oooh I would be super interested in a HPFP retrofit to be able to run E85. The CPI type stuff is not for me. Too many layers.
This thread is so good though. Ya'll are heroes |
