Thanks! I also see pdc_3d and active_pdc, what are these for? They are “not aktive” right now

Active_pdc are with automatic braking function for lower speeds and pdc_3d are for the 3d graphik with surround view. I think both are not possible in a f30.

Hey guys quick question. I currently have NBT_HU running ID4 in my 2014 335i xDrive. I wanted to get iDrive 6 in my car and was wondering what hardware I would need to do this. I currently have NAV and 8.8 inch screen.

You will need to replace the HU with one from 2017 or newer. The hardware version of the HU should be version 3.0 or higher.

You might also need a newer screen or a voltage converter.

Then you need to wipe and code the HU, and obtain a new set of FSC codes.

Hi,
I ordered and recieved and ID6 Headunit to retrofit my ID4.2 Evo unit. It was precoded but I have the same issue as in the linked image.

If I understand correctly your findings are that I FDL code the following two values:
3030 PdcHmi --> SDW_enable --> 02 = SDW_on
3030 PdcHMI --> IDX_DARSTELLUNGS_VARIANTE --> ID5 (0x05)

The issue will be fixed?

Worked great! Thanks alot. I already had SDW_enable so I just changed IDX_DARSTELLUNGS_VARIANTE.

It takes some driving around after coding PMA2 to take effect.

xxxjecxxx2 had one for sale in the classifieds and steve@codemybimmer has supplied to users on forum.

Issues with many on eBay is they are from EU and not USA units without USA Chipsets and Features.

Can not find IDX_DARSTELLUNGS_VARIANTE

Hi All,

I also made update from ID4 to ID6 and I really like it except PDC grachical issues, which is a dorn in my eye .
So first I was happy to find this thread and I tried my best,
but in my F20 in PMA ECU I cannot find following to code:

3030 PdcHMI --> IDX_DARSTELLUNGS_VARIANTE --> ID5 (0x05)

But the other SDW has the correct Coding flag in my car:

3030 PdcHmi --> SDW_enable --> 02 = SDW_on

Do somebody know how to continue?

Thanks
Phil

Hi, I also thought about this, but you wrote:
„I have a F20 LCI BY 7/2015 with factory fitted park assist.“
and it worked on your side, correct?
My car is 3/2016 F20 LCI and was completly updated to i-Step
7/2016 from BMW.

I have retrofitted a pre-coded nbt id5 into my nov 2015 bmw (F31 LCI).
Directly after the HU swap I had the same graphical issue. After contacting the seller, he changed something through BMW which fixed the issue.

However I am still not 100% happy with the setup:
- In general it works fine but in some cases my PDC get nuts. That could be that it suddenly detect something in a corner (different positions) while there is nothing there. Or during a parking maouvrer it gets lost and is beepling/highlighting corners where there is nothing (anymore).

I also find the PDC sensors slow/delayed... However maybe this is just a PDC thing on the f31, I never really tested PDC with the original headunit as I replaced the headunit almost directly. However my bmw e87 had far more precise PD.

I did some checks with Esys and I cannot find any strange values. 3030 PdcHMI --> IDX_DARSTELLUNGS_VARIANTE and SDW_enable are both set correct

What is also interesting is that I now have 360 PDC (12 sensors) instead of the 4 in the front/back. So the 4 auto pdc sensors are now also used for normal parking. In the config I see the value set to 4 sensors front/back.

Anyone have a similar experience/tip how to fix this?

edit: i have recorded what the seller did. He first tried to code but that failed. Then he changed the Zeitkriterium date from 0715 to 016 and just hit coding. I think that is the same as this approach: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/z...o-date.642231/

However, if I read my car again I get the 0715 date back. If I would make any modifications now, would it break anything again?

Its 0715 because he did not write FA with modified zeitkriterium back into car, I am not going to discuss if it right or wrong.

If you did VO coding or an istep upgrade with cdDeploy box checked you would probably "break" stuff, but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Zeitkriterium (for that matter also FA) has no effect on FDL coding unless you recode default values.

In your And any case of id5/6 retrofit i would upgrade istep to at least 09/2016 (SOP of LCI Cars with idrive 5). But there are modules that have bugs in idrive 6 (TV module comes to mind) that need even newer istep (19-03 in my case)
