Bootmod3 WIFI agent question

If I use the Bootmod3 wifi agent to monitor gauges (Boost, oil, IAT, etc) I am under the impression that my phone will be connected to the agent through wifi (and not bluetooth like JB4).

Does this mean I will not be able to use my phones cellular data while driving around for things like GPS and regular cellular usage? If so, is there anyway to monitor these things using bluetooth either by using other clients (besides JB4)?

All help is appreciated.

Your phone acts as a wireless hotspot to the agent. You can still access all your services while they are connected. The only caveat is you cant be connected to another wifi on the phone.

You turn on your wifi hotspot on your cellphone so the wifi device will connect to it, your data will still be on and you can connect to the app and log and have all your gauges there. Everything on your cellphone will still work as normal, the only difference is your wifi hotspot is on for the device to connect to your data.

Can you still be connected to CarPlay whilst doing this??
