What famous person do know?

Couldn't help the title.

Just saw this on another forum:

What famous person do you know / have you had some kind of interaction with?

I deal with 'talent' in my business so have worked (on events, for one night only so to speak) with a good number: Vernon Kaye, Greg Davies, Russell Kane, Tom Allen - loads more on the comedian set. A friend of mine was on the god-awul Apprentice show until the last knockings but I won't name that one.

Any good stuff from you lot?

Had a chat and my photo taken with Paul Barber from Only Fools in my local Indian restaurant, he’s a regular in there as his brother lives in the village.

I see Johnny Vegas in the local taverns from time to time, he always interacts and chats to people.

I can see Craig Phillips’ house from my bedroom and Sporty Spice used to live round the corner....

What watch do wear....

My OCD can't take another one!

I don't know any properly famous people, but I do know someone who keen golfers might know, coach behind a lot of the best player, Peter Cowen.

He coaches/coached; Danny Willet, Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke, Charl Schwartzel, Henrik Stenson, Grahame McDowell, Louis Ousthuizen, Sergio Garcia, Rory McIlroy, plus quite a few more.

Before he coached these guys he gave me junior lessons and I worked in his pro shop for a short time in Sheffield. When I say short time, it was one day, I caught the drawer of his till with my sleeve and dragged it off the counter smashing it up beyond repair in the process!

Sharleen Spiteri and Bryn Williams. They live just down the road.

Both really nice, genuine people.

My Aunty used to be good chums with Vinnie Jones as she looked after his grandmother. One day in the supermarket, in Hemel, she was cut-up by some oik who pinched her space then started giving her a mouthful.

Vinnie was in the line of traffic, got out and said: "You alright Sally?" The oik was made to apologise and move his car

Well that's the best one so far, not many people can claim to have a film star as their great uncle.

If weíre including (in my case dead) relatives, my great grandad was Bobby Buckle who was one of the founding members of Tottenham Hotspurís football club.

Tim Brooke-Taylor once stayed in a house next door to us when I was young. I remember playing with his kids, but not him particularly.

Does almost running over Pat Sharp and then seeing him in the same restaurant we were dining at later count?

Also OP, the title thread makes sense not.

My wife's second cousin is the racing driver Paul DiResta, and the family are (apparently) distantly related to Dario Franchitti.

I've been a serial stalker of famous cyclists for many years and have hobnobbed with Mark Cavendish, Chris Hoy and Wiggo at various times. Briefly rode with Sean Kelly and Miguel Indurain at an event in Mallorca a couple of years ago.

Worked with Peter Capaldi's brother for a bit and met him a couple of times - complete knob. Also had lunch with Lord Robertson and his brother on Islay when he was Secretary General of the UN. Nice chap.

When I lived in London I wasn't looking where I was going and walked straight into John Cleese who told me in no uncertain tones to "fuck off and look where I was going", have also been told to fuck off by a very rude Phil Collins, though Mike Rutherford was also a nice chap who was happy to have a chat. Also ended up backstage at Ingliston to see Rush in the early 80's (I think) through a pal whose dad was a music promoter.

Most recent bit of celebrity stalking was helping Rupert Everett get his luggage onto the train at Zurich station a couple of years ago.

EDIT: completely forgot about hanging about outside the Hilton in Glasgow last year waiting for a taxi & chatting to Oti & Giovanni from Strictly - they were doing a charity event I was at for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, and were heading off to a gig at Grange-over-Sands or somewhere glam like that.

Shameless, me

Not famous but infamous...

Idiots like Max Clifford and Harry Roberts. Clifford was arrogant and Roberts was actually ok with me but should never have been released IMO..

I dont think Ive ever interacted with anyone famous lol.

My mums neighbour's daughter used to date someone from JLS,
My mother in law used to be neighbours with Lewis Smith's Mum,
I sat behind Noel Edmonds at a sea life centre when I was little apparently,
And my brother once told Chris Barrie to Fuck off

Oh, and I stood behind Hugh Bonneville at a Starbucks on the A30

If we are talking Moms .. my mother met Tony Curtis is the late 80s in a restaurant in LA. He was having lunch with one of his dolly birds and my mom being a big fan went up and said hello, apparently he was a real gentleman.
She also met Dennis Quaid once too. She was staying at her Cousin Tinaís house in LA (Tina is married to Rick Caruso a billionaire property developer) and Dennis Quaid was waiting at the end of the drive while his son was calling for Rick and Tinaís son, he was taking them both ice skating. My mom went down and said hello and had a chat with him.

Have a few footballer clients who I've got to know well over the years.

My uncle was an actor and as such met many famous people, several who became family friends. Meeting Greta Scaachi and Honor Blackman (and sitting on her knee!) when much younger were particular highlights! Meeting Queen backstage another. Sadly I was too young to appreciate who I was around at the time.

Clive Dunn was a very good family friend until he sadly died a few years ago. Genuinely one of the most naturally funny men I've ever met even into his 90's!
