Yum. I had a ride in a 640d the other day, what really surprised me was it didn't sound (or rattle) like a d! Performance diesels have come along way, my petrol head loving self says through gritted teeth...

Looks a really nice car. It must be one of the youngest 6GCs, so for anyone put off by the new BMW grilles, this is a good one to buy while BMW regain their sanity. I think your price is in the right ballpark. I know someone who i believe would pay 28k (perhaps a touch more) for it, but that is probably too low. Don't sell it to a dealer at 26 without asking! |

They are absolutely awesome motors, I ran a 640d GC for 2 years. Had to change it as despite being such a long car the rear legroom is severely compromised and was getting too small for my growing kids.
Probably one of the more elegant BMWs in recent times, if not one of the best looking cars on the road. |

Still miss it but it just wasn't practical enough at the time. |

This shows how the legroom looked with the seat in my normal position:
For those interested in the colour, it was Vermillion Red Nappa leather. Fine for occasional use and makes the car a lot more practical than a standard coupe / convertible (which I also considered at the time) but on longer runs it wasn't ideal. |

If you dont mind me asking, what was the route of sale, e.g private sale, sold to a trader etc. And did you get what you wanted for it.
Its just that I have a car of similar value and was wondering is it worth trying to sell something at £30k+ privately. Regards |

If it helps I sold my last two cars to traders via Tootle (think they no longer exist) and Motorway. Great hassle free transactions and got more than offered at trade in. Also tried a couple of BMW and independent dealers too, listers we’re also very keen to buy my 640d when I sold that earlier this year.
