It was only a matter of time being honest.

I posted a couple of videos of me and my brother a few years ago on YouTube I was in my S2000 and he was in his Elise, we were driving enthusiastically.

My dad’s best friend who is a criminal lawyer specialising in speeding, drink driving etc found out and gave the pair of us an ear bashing for being stupid posting it on the internet, we took them down!

Some of these YouTubers are asking for trouble, and yes I am a fan of Joe’s as well!

The suggestion is they worked out his speed from the video... could you see the speedo or have they calculated it from a distance covered / time elapsed?

Just about to post this.....

I dont have a moral high ground but it is interesting to see that they will now pursue you without seeing the Speedo 🤷🏻*♂️

Just been reading on it too, apparently they used google earth pro and divided the video into 11 sections based on landmarks or signs and then calculated the time between sections from the video. I didn't think they were doing such things but I'm sure there are other you tubers who will be thinking now.

That's pretty harsh. No doubt to make an example of, or maybe plod have an X3M on order and took exception top his review?

I feel for him a bit, not that it's an excuse in the eyes of the law but his driving compared to some (e.g. LLF) is no worse than what many of us have probably done ourselves in our time. Certainly the videos I've watched he never seems out of control, on the edge or inappropriate for the conditions / road he's on.

I get though for some speeding is speeding and you take your medicine when you're caught out, I get that.

It was only a matter of time.....

I'll speed as much as Joe does but I don't load it up on to YT, would you send a video of your speeding to the local police station every time you did it? No of course not, but that's what he's effectively doing every week/month....

I've got 6 points and a 7er so we have two things in common now.

The difference is, he has probably got a lot of extra publicity from his and will actually make money from it!

I may have driven that road many times and sometimes maybe gones as fast as 51, but fortunately I do not possess a gopro...

I would be more concerned that they posted his home address, not hard to find where he lives, I value my privacy and it wouldn't be difficult to find his house given he often starts videos there.

Not too difficult, even see the BMW

And both Joe and LLF bought their cars from TRL, I wonder if he's feeling any heat from his bosses over these incidents!

Nearly every Youtuber drives on public roads massively over the speed limits and seems to think its fine if they blur the speedo, I really enjoy most of their channels but its only a matter of time before its a bigger issue. Joe is the tip of the iceburg

I think its maybe only Shmee 150 who drives within the limits and the odd one other

Have a look at DMO Deejay he is a law unto himself, in one video in an RS6 he must have been at nearly 200mph at night as a passenger

His fastest was actually 93mph so he must have had a good lawyer to use the average and get his punishment down
