Replaced my E90 with a new F30

Traded in my 09 328i xDrive yesterday for a 13 328i xDrive. Enjoying the new car so far

2013 328i xDrive
Sport Line
Mineral Grey
Everest Grey

With my winter wheels and tires installed. Luckily the winter rims from my E90 fit so I just had to pick up some new winter tires.

One last shot of my old E90

Nice pics!!! Those style 159 wheels actually look pretty good as winter rims on the F30.

Congratulations, it looks like you are all set for the winter weather! I was sad to see my 2008 335xi go when I traded it in for my 2013 335 xdrive but besides losing some of the visceral driving appeal of the E90, the F30 is a better more refined car in almost every way.

Thanks. I felt the same way, my E90 was a little more raw and involving than my new F30, but the added refinement and features in the F30 more than make up for it.

Congrats. For me, the hardest part of buying the F30 was trying to decide on the exterior/interior color combination that I liked the most. There were a few...struggled for weeks on this decision...LOL

I finally went with Mineral Grey on Black and have no regrets!

I struggled a bit on the colour combo as well for a little while. My previous E90 was space grey on chestnut leather. I considering going for the mineral grey on coral red leather, but decided on the everest grey leather instead as I wasn't sure about the bright red leather as my previous car had a more subdued reddish brown leather interior.

Nice car (s). What's all that white stuff on the ground? Kidding....I couldn't stand to have my car look like that for 6-7 months out of the year. I wash my car now at least 3 times a week.

Why new tires?

I'm just in the process of listing my e90 for sale and leasing a F30. Just curious about the snow tires, as I too have a winter tire and snow set for my e90. Sounds like good news that the wheels fit on the F30, but was there a reason you needed new snow tires? Or was it just that they were worn out? Thanks.

The E90 uses 225/45/17, while the F30 uses 225/50/17. The difference will throw off the speedometer by about 4%. In my case the previous winter tires were pretty much worn down after 4 seasons of use, so between that and the tire size difference, it made sense for me to get a new set.

A fully loaded 335xi is my "safe" choice. It will give me most of what I want, but will let me configure everything to my preferences. I just find it a bit too much wind noise and a little too small for my tastes (coming from an E class right now).

However, I am currently trying to work out a deal on a demo 2012 550xi as well as a 2012 Jaguar XFR. Both are great cars, but the problem with these executive demos is that they are ordered up to the brim with options! The 550xi has $25,000 worth of options!

Thanks CHCCubs for the tire info reply. This is reassuring as I am going to keep my old winter tire pkg for my new F30.

Cheers,

CHCCubs, ack! Just realized my e90 winters are on 16" wheels. I don't suppose you know if they'll fit on our f30's, do you? Thanks.
