Will choose the Simon option, what's the difficulty level of programing yourself as opposed to sending in the ECU.
Any DIY videos or customer videos with the tune?
Benefit / pros compared to other OTS Flash Tunes i.e. Bootmod3 and RK Tune etc?

-Does the process of flashing ECU/DME allows us the option to revert or save the current state of ECU/DME in case it needs to be flashed to stock?
-Any failsafes in case car overboosts?

-Will the flash itself be tied to a specific VIN?
-Group buy?

The other tunes you mentioned you will need to remove the ECU, send it to tuner and wait for them to send it back then install it again.

With Active Tuner, we send you the Simon cable. You connect it to your laptop and OBD, upload the map.

Thanks Mike, definitely interested in this option as I have been looking for several flash tunes within the past month hoping to pull the trigger sometime in February. Sub'd to this thread. Would like to see some numbers on the N26 as other has mentioned, and live footage of a car with the tune i.e. the install, the map switching, start ups, burbbles, some take off's or 1/4 mile runs.

This looks great and people are chopping at the bit for a flash tune like this but.... It needs to be advised and marketed properly! They should have waited a few more months before releasing to have a nice press package put together with Dyno gains, in car video, etc etc etc.

I see they have different maps

For example they have a off road downpipe map.

How would they cater for other mods like, running a catted high flow downpipe, or people with inter-coolers etc

I know the combinations can be endless but i think cats and inter-coolers would be the volume mods right?

Keep in mind Active have been doing the bench flash for couple years now on the F chassis. So these maps are not new.
Whats new is the way they are uploaded. You used to have to remove the ECU, now you do not.

Downpipes + intercooler would be the best value mods
