Deeoooom! I'm probably going to be doing that!! That sounds awesome and my girlfriend loves the idea. I want to get a new F30 335i and do that...and I will probably throw a JB4 in my luggage before departing

It's hard to describe, Patrice. I don't see any blue in it though, and I think I'd notice it if it were there since I've never been a fan of blue cars. As you can see in the photos, it can look anything from almost sliver to charcoal depending on how the light is hitting it. I was a little concerned about having ordered it without seeing it in person, but I must say that it is a stunningly beautiful color in person!

JB4 hasn't been verified to work on the F30. I contacted Terry @ Burger Tuning, and he said "it's too soon"

Nice car! Suggest you take a ride out to the Kelsteinhaus outside of Berchtesgarden. http://www.kehlsteinhaus.com/

Great area, great drive, great destination. You won't regret it!

It is striking from the top. A little hard to find unless you have European nav.

Indeed. However, is the road opened for the year yet? I know they close it in late October for the winter.

Looks great, but I think the possibility of bad roads is going to keep me away. I'm rolling on performance/summer tires, so making sure to avoid any chance of finding snow on the road.

Kelsteinhaus doesn't normally open till late April/early May. There are still some sweet mountain roads and views around Berchtesgaden and Obersalzburg.

Also check https://www.bmw-routes.com/ to see what other folks have found for touring about.

Lastly, I would highly recommend the Augustiner Keller Biergarten. A 12-15 minute walk from the main station along Arnulfstr.

Nice sunny weather today...hope you are enjoying the roads and the early spring weather!

btw,if you are further interested in BMW cars other than the 3 Series you might want to take a look at the BMW dealership at Frankfurter Ring.
There are many special models, including Alpina and BMW Individual cars...plus the fact that around that dealership a lot of test cars yet to be released are driving around (saw that green Alpina B3 GT3 in that area yesterday)
Have fun!

Oh and ditch that Hofbräuhaus BS...only drunk tourists and Pseudo Bavarian athmosphere
better go to a nice Biergarten like the Seehaus in Englischer Garten...way more relaxed and with the sun out people are nice and friendly as well

Can you clarify what this is?

Seems like there is a feature called "Discover Routes" if you have Nav and BMW Connected Drive. Not sure if this works on US cars in Germany, but would, at minimum require Nav + BMW assist.

Also interesting is that this seems to indicate you can save a route to a USB stick and upload to the Nav system without Connected Drive.

Looks like you need to use this web interface to download to USB stick and it only supports Europe...

Even if the internet connection does not work on US cars, seems like the USB method could be used on US cars. Is there an English language version? Would be very cool to be able to use this on ED.
