I actually got an order cancel e-mail a half hour ago, so I called them back.

They assured me they had it in stock and that it was a shipping SNAFU that caused the cancellation. Who knew it would cost more than $13 to ship a 75 lb hunk of metal from Atlanta to Chicago?

I was told I'd get a call tomorrow morning from the parts manager and that they'd hold it for me until they were able to charge my card again.

Most likely the last new low priced unit at any BMW Dealer in America.
I've got an extra LSD for sale right now. I got lucky and ended up with two LSDs after months of having my orders canceled. It's an incredible upgrade. Had no idea how much wheel slippage I was having until my LSD was installed and suddenly the grip from starts and entering turns was amazing.

I'm in NJ and really don't want to ship unless I can't find someone in driving distance. Want to find it a good home. Will drive to meet within reason. Anyone interested in NJ, PA, NY, DE, MD, VA?
What are you asking?

Is this one of the ECS Shipments that was sent out leaking and they sent out replacement without collecting the leaking LSD?
The extra LSD that I have in NJ didn't come from ECS or any other US parts retailer. It took me months of trying and several cancelled orders to finally get my hands on one LSD. It just happened that another of my orders unexpectedly came through. The available LSD is in pristine condition. I'm just waiting for someone local. Don't want to ship it based on nightmares I've read like the leaking units from ECS that you mentioned.

I spoke with Gary over at Global Imports this morning on my way in to the office. He was super helpful, but was doubtful that they had an LSD in stock, as their parts system stated it was NLA.

I asked him to physically check stock, and I was put on hold for 5 minutes. He came back and confirmed they had one, and only one. He also confirmed that this was the last MPLSD in dealer stock in the country, according to the parts system and that I was pretty lucky to get my hands on it. Turns out my original shipping quote was off by $6.

I'd forgotten to order the circlips and an extra quart of the diff oil, though, I guess that can be ordered locally ...

I'm pumped, but I got a notice from my credit card that I was charged twice. Good thing I decided not to use my debit card!

Got my tracking number, so I hope it comes in before the race weekend, but I don't think I'll have the time to break it in before Saturday. Last weekend of pegleg corner exits, I suppose ...

$700 which is what it cost me to get it from Germany.

Price at Global Imports was actually $479 + $16 to ship. Just under $500 shipped. I never imagined I'd be able to get an M Performance diff, or any LSD for that matter, at that price (OBX apparently has one for F30s for ~$439, but the diff and ring gear still need to be separated, drilled and tapped to bolt it on). Crazy how BMW just liquidated their stock just like that. 80% off is what I'd call a five-alarm fire sale.

I really wasn't planning on buying an LSD for my daily, but it was on my wishlist; I was actually just about to pull the trigger on an OS Giken LSD for my 911, but now I've gotta put that on hold for another month.

Good news: It finally came

Bad news: It's leaked out all of the diff fluid

You'd figure dealerships would have figured out how to ship stuff like this, but it doesn't seem like anyone has.

Upon closer inspection, the caps for the halfshaft splines loosened and allowed the diff oil to leak out. Wrapping it in plastic wrap would have made sure to keep the caps in place while adding an extra layer of protection. Instead, the diff was thrown into a garbage bag, tied up, and put in a box with aired plastic padding and a bit of styrofoam. Not a good look, and was probably the reason why FedEx was three days late with delivery.

Gonna give Global Imports a call and see if they can send me some SAF-XJ+FM. I'd be a fool to return this, but that diff oil is outrageously expensive ...

How can you receive a reward about it? I received this item a few days ago. But it was the same as your status. I am writing complain mail to turner motors.

Same story for me back when mine was delivered from ECS. I think more of us had delivery problems than not with these diffs. It'll cost about 75-100$ to refill the lost fluid @ a dealership, so if you're seeking a refund, that should be the minimum amount.

When i got mine a little over a month ago, it came completley mangled and fluid everywhere. ECS shipping me out a brand new one free of charge (this was when they still had plenty in stock) and shipped the mangled one back free of charge. I think the company will most likely send you free fluid, just make sure its the correct fluid.

I bought this LSD from a turnermotorsports. I sent an email about refund.
This company replied me that they will refund partly $100 to my credit card.

So what happened to your thread and pics on how your LSD and Driveshaft was destroyed by incompetent installation?

How? I'm in Europe and can't find it anywhere with these low prices that you have in the US...

Does anyone sell in EU or know where to buy it?

There aren't any more available in the US that I know off. Low prices that you are reading are from a while ago since the price from BMW first dropped in June 2019. Last price I heard weeks ago was $1,000 USD but sold out now.

Has anyone seen or know of any rumors for the MPPSK for a 340/440i going 'on sale' anytime soon?

Considering that the LSDs that went on sale were used in some 2016 vehicles, they were put on sale 3 years after the end of those vehicles.

If, and only if, they have an oversupply of the LCI LSD as they did the previous, that formula would tell you late Spring/Summer of 2023 would be about the time frame.

This LSD is fitted with 28i(328/428)

I considered to install this item with 328i F30.

I had found that 28i diff is the same as 35i diff, originally and I heard

it's possible to fit in this post.

So I progressed and then it is working fine .

To share this info, I have linked below thing.

Thanks.
