2019 F31 with MPPSK..??

Guys, I was under the impression the MPPSK could not be fitted to mid 2018 cars onwards due to the PPF filter.

I've just seen this advert on AT for a 2019 car with it fitted (looks like an official BMW dealer job as well as quotes cost of £3216)

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-det...at_cars&page=1

Any thoughts as I'm confused??

Not sure they are the genuine M performance carbon fibre tips.

Also, when the MPPSK tune is installed they add a sticker to the engine cover which isn't there.

As above. They add a sticker to engine bay. As it’s a private seller the ad just looks a bit odd to me. I would get the dealer name where the mppsk fitted and see if you can get them to confirm that they know the car.

It does seem a bit odd doesn't it, I was going to message him to find out more but guess what...no message option on advert either, just tel number.

Now you come to mention it, it's interesting that they haven't shown in any of the pics the nice shiny //M Performance back box either, maybe it isn't there!

Tip look non OEM , they seem to stick out further than any other ones i have seen plus no plate on the engine cover.

If you are seriously considering it then ask the seller to send you an underside picture of the rear of the vehicle which should confirm what has / has not been fitted.

Very much doubt the main dealers would be allowed to code the MPPSK to a car that should have a PPF fitted as standard , plus the MOT tester may have an issue when the test is due next year.

Seems like a well spec`d car , someone has went to town with the options.

It’s not really a 2019 car is it. Not on a 68 plate.

I assume it was built before the PPF was required, and not registered straight away.

Agreed, the sticker is there, but the tips look aftermarket, and the MPPSK doesn't come with the M Performance engine cover.

However, the previous owner may have done what I did, my 340i came with MPPSK with chrome tips. I wanted to change them to the carbon tips, but I didn't feel like spending the $370 they cost here, so I bought knockoff ones for 1/3 the price.

This car was registered on 15 February 2019 - the same day as my F31 340i whose Reg also starts YC68 *** My build date was Oct 2018 so too late for MPPSK I think ?

well specced touring. Annoyingly no electric seats.

maybe an unofficial retrofit of the mppsk kit, due to the OPF.

easiest way to find our is ring the seller and ask?

They don’t always add the sticker. I’ve got MPPSK and no stickers as I asked for none of them to be added

It comes down to build date, there are a few knocking about on a 68 plate that sat about before being registered and don't have a PPF. Couple of guys I spoke to on FB had later cars but without the filter.

Not sure about the build date but wasn't it when co2 emissions were changed from 159 to 168g/km.

They seemed to increase the emissions every few months from mid 2018 with the last models being 189g/km.

June 2018. I should add, because of the huge discounts offered on the 40i engined cars back then, very few will have sat about for long like this example, most were sold quickly but there are a couple knocking about.
