2015 BMW 435 xdrive Axle issues

So i have seen two posts regarding the axles on the f30 and f32 chassis cars but recently i have broken my front passenger axle where the CV joints and failed tearing the boot and coming apart in half. The car has around 46k miles on it and inst stock have bolt ons and stage 2 bm3 tune I do have KW V1 coil overs as well but nothing that others aren't running and one day i did a roll at around 20mph and bam there went my axle and being stupid not wanting to spend 1.3k on a new one i bought a used one with 70k miles on it and last week that one had the same failure so I bought a brand new to hopefully have a functional car but I am wondering does anyone know the reason why these are failing??

the xdrive cars can have problems with certain lowered setups...

Well when my axel broke the first time I was on Airlift 3P I figured the constant up and down action of daily use is the reason they went bad so I switched bag to coils then it broke again I dont know if it is just because I bought a crappy used axel or even the car is still to low.

curious, but how low is the car? Been running my xdrive for about 20k miles now with ACS springs on stock dampers without issues. Wondering if its how much of a drop you have with the coilovers ?

The rear is as low as the springs go and on the front struts i have a good inch and a half maybe two inches more I could go. I would just show pictures of the car but my front lip is thicker than most so it makes the car a lot lower than it really is strut wise.

So measure top of the fender arch to the wheel cap.

Do you have a pic of how it broke? Inner CV joint I assume with the tripod bearing?

Low and xdrive don't mix with the front axles. Once you go beyond a 1.5" drop you'll have constant problems because the axles can't handle steering angles with a big drop. You need to get a rwd car if you want a severe drop.

measuring from the wheel arc to the bottom of the center wheel cap is 14 inches and 1/8th strange thing is i have ran the car on this ride height for around a year and I am just now having problems.

Yeah it was the CV joins on the inside that then tore the boot and basically the part attached to the wheel up was at dangling down.

Sounds like a crazy question but i have seen a few people say that doing X Delete can help I am not sure if this is true or not though.

Did you read my thread https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1514736
I was looking into custom longer axles so I could go lower but I need to spend more time investigatin' and calculatin'

I did have a different issue causing my axle to blow out like that but the result is the same with the inner CV joint too low so the angle to the wheel is such that the inner tripod bearing can pop out.

Just read through your post and I am much lower i tuck the front tire a tad bit and tuck the rear a lil bit to but in terms of the failure the picture you put on that post same thing here. So really the only way to prevent this and to keep the same fitment i have is raise the car and maybe get a thicker sidewall?
