I did some testing with St 3,2, and 1 xHP and the new St 2 Ver. 2.1 MG flash.
First off, St 3 of xHP is too much, it's super aggressive and not good for street driving. I would not recommend this flash for anyone even if you drive super aggressive. In Sport/Sport + mode the car jerks around too much. St 2 of xHP seems like the sweet spot, the shifts are quick but don't shake the car. The response is instantaneous and the car feels super punchy and strong. St 1 of xHP is also good for casual driving but it doesn't perform well in Sport/Sport + mode. The shifts are laggy and not right for St 2 MG flash. In conclusion, I recommend St 2 xHP for those who are running St 2 of MG flash. If any of you have specific questions on xHP and MG Flasher for B58, I would be more than happy to answer and/or do additional testing as needed. |

A hint to all B58 owners, that were already buying xHP over the weekend: We released an update of the app yesterday, cause there was a really strange issue on Install for some cars. The root of the issue was a bad factory programming. We were able to circle the issue to cars produced in a certain time period and updated the app accordingly.
So if you had any issues installing, please just update and re-do the install. |

Hello dear team,
I just registered here to get an answer to my question. first greetings from Germany In Germany we have strict controls because of exhaust noise. can one make adjustments in the app Burble? The car should pop only when I drive and was not in the state. bootmod3 has the setting - at least seen on pictures. can someone tell me if it is also in the app MG flasher? |

You should use a charger for the initial unlock of the DME. That takes a while.
Flashing takes 90 seconds so if you have a healthy battery, charging is not necessary imo. You can adjust the aggressiveness and duration of the burble, in normal and sport(+) setting. |

I'm not endorsing my method but this is what I did.
Charged the car overnight, made sure the battery was close to 13V and then whilst unlocking I would put the charger on supply mode and turn off every accessory I could think of. Turn off headlights, DRL, radio, idrive screen, aircon etc. Had no issues apart from subpar cable which made flashing a much longer process, was about 90 mins to unlock. Btw my car is now on latest stage 2 tune with the latest stage 3 xhp tune. Car finally feels right! Smooth, powerful, fat and flat torque curve, all backed up with logs. |

Running the Stage 2 MGF tune along with Stage 2 xHP and also can attest to the excellent power and delivery these tunes produce together. In any drive mode, plenty of torque to get you going, very quick shifts, just an amazing transformation overall. Massive improvement of stock, feels like a totally different car.

Clarification on Burble please...
Jarek, I understand burble is modifiable with MG Flasher. For those of us with MPSSK - can the maps be user-adjusted so that the factory burble setting will be maintained? I want to avoid a situation where I need to start exploring various settings to get it back to factory after a flash - hoping there is an easy method/setting for this? |

Option 1 do not mark Burble in Additional options - no changes will be applied to your original software - if changes applied before, MG Flasher will restore it to original - MPPSK or non MPPSK calibrations. Option 2 mark Burble and adjust sliders as per screen below: - Aggressiveness - OEM 0% - Duration Sport - OEM MPPSK exhaust - Duration Base - OEM |

For Stage 2 Map - are we required to have straight down pipes? BM3 states their stage 2 map recommends them to reduce pumping losses. I won't be modding my car and you have previously recommended to me that stage 2 would be my best option. I have MPPSK but do not want to risk damage to vehicle in long term.
Can you please clarify if stage 2 is safe without the mods? Thanks |

New Stages classifications
For the sake of clarity, we will be updating our classifications of the various stages offered through MG Flasher.
Is not ready yet- we will, in the next 7 days, be renaming our Stages classification, update the website and App logic. Please see the new Stages classifications below: • STAGE 1: Choose this stage if you have no hardware modifications. Enable 8HP Stage 1+ checkbox if you have transmission tuning as xHP flash or Manual Transmission (equivalent to the outgoing Stage 2 - cars with stock exhaust system) Power increase: - 420 – 440hp/590–610nm (550NM limit without xHP flash) – cars with stock exhaust system - OPF cars – 400 – 410hp/580nm - cars additionally equipped with Otto Particulate filter • STAGE 2: Choose this stage ONLY if you have an aftermarket downpipe modification (equivalent to outgoing Stage 2+ with catless downpipe) Power increase: - 460 – 470hp/640nm (Catless Downpipe Necessary / OPF delete) As always, these figures are ratings @ the crank. All OTS maps are also optimized for xHP transmission tuning software. Our main reason behind this change is that some people are confused to choose proper Stage to run safe with stock exhaust system and we believe this will be easier to understand. Given the fact that no hardware upgrades are necessary we felt it best to label anything that does not touch any sort of mechanical component on the vehicle as a Stage 1. This would mean that a de-cat option is necessary to run the updated classification of our Stage 2. The newly labeled Stage 1 software will have a checkbox "+ 8HP50 flash" which you must select if you have the xHP transmission flash applied to your car. It may also be selected if you have a manual transmission vehicle and would like to remain at the highest possible output on stock equipment (This will give you the same power output of the previously labeled Stage 2 map). If you are a user of our currently labeled Stage 1 software, without xHP software fitted, or have a manual car and would rather stay below the 550nm limit then you may simply leave this checkbox unselected and the power output will remain as it was. IS not ready yet - we will, in the next 7 days, be renaming our Stages classification, update the website and App logic Last edited by Jarek@JRAuto; 05-18-2019 at 08:31 AM.. |

What about diesel engines such n47, b47...
For gasoline there are 3 applications that do the same, but nothing for diesel. In Europe most of the cars are diesel, I think that would be good for both, customers and app developer (a lot of sales). Cheers. |
