Wagner Tuning 200 cell Downpipe

Hi,

Anyone got any feedback on this Wagner Downpipe?

http://www.wagner-tuning.com/Downpip...335i_p_99.html

Was thinking about ordering one and was hoping for a review maybe, especially with possible issues like CEL's and the like.

Thanks & Rgds

I wouldn't mind that info as we'll. the only HFC down pipe I knew about was the challenge one. They're about the same price but I haven't heard anything about this one. I see they claim no engine management errors. Challenge does too I believe.

Correct, so far 2012-2013 models on stock ECU have had about a 99% record of not throwing CEL. However it is hard to guarantee since BMW sometimes makes ECU changes over the years.

What about with MPPK? Does this impact the likelihood of a CEL with the HFC downpipe?

99%? I saw a thread a while back where pretty much everyone with the HFC threw a code

Hey Mike,
I've read a lot of guys going with catless downpipes for a lot more sound and some horsepower gains. And they seem willing to deal with the smell.

I'd prefer to not deal with the smell and I don't need anything too much louder than the M Performance exhaust already on my car. If I replace the catted stock downpipe with a Wagner catted downpipe, would the sound change and what might the horsepower gain be from the added exhaust flow? (already added IC, intake and charge pipe) Thanks.

Hi,
Yes the sound and power will increase with the catted downpipe.
The sound increase is mild and noticeable mostly on wide open throttle.
Performance increase will be the same as catless on stock turbo.

I read previously and you just basically restated that catless on a stock turbo is worth about 5 whp, that's not worth the smell IMO.

Thats not what i meant.
I meant whether you go with catless or high flow catted, the gains are the same on stock turbo. Its about 20 whp with either option

That's what I meant, there's not much difference between catted or not catted on a stock turbo. I had previously read maybe 5 horsepower and that small amount of power is not worth the smell of catless is all I was stating. Thanks for clarification.
