Naw, not upset at all. Vent is to JLs specs and my experience with them over the years shows they know what they are doing. The only time that was wrong in my experience is when they told me it wasn’t possible to build a band pass for 8w6s. They changed their mind after we showed them the design we built that hit 133db a weighted on half of a PPI 50x4 amp.
No, I don’t have a router or a whole bunch of tools, would love to but the garage barely fits the car so it’s not worth building a big shop yet. Sensitive? Naw, just not a prick. I’m well aware it’s not top notch, I have not installed audio gear since 1996 but hey, if it makes ya feel better just wait until I learn how to weld and do body work, that should be a hoot. |

Finished the new firewall flange, installed the heater and started working on the hood scoop and cf vents.

Got the heater wiring and cabling done, glovebox and ashtray put in (need to fill holes in it and paint to match dash)

No it's a kit from a company called tmi, comes sewn, you just have to add foam, put in listing wires and hog ring everything on.

Been a while, got some stuff done.
Top cowl on, began work on vent delete to minimize stuff getting in and starting the rotting process again. Bought a bottle so I could mig. Installed a windshield washer reservoir. Wife finished a seat. |

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Whoa, great metalwork man. I wish GM did that well making the cowl section replaceable/serviceable on their 60s B bodies.
On my 65 Impala, it's all rusted to hell and is a 3 layered spot welded extravaganza of metal that you can't access, that all merges into one piece at the windshield gasket surface... really shitty design my dad and I spent almost 6 months on alone. It seems that setup is much cleaner, but they're also very different cars structurally so it's understandable. It's really nice to see one of these cars properly gutted and rebuilt, can't wait to see the result. I'm also very curious if you spot welded it and sealed it with glue/sealant or if the cowl itself is actually body glued in now.
