The new one doesnt have many options,no trick suspension or pan roof, and I did pick it because it had the black pack rather than chrome.... It has got the B&O stereo and a couple of other options and I wouldnt buy without them....

But it would be a funny old world if we all wanted the same. And as I say we can all do it our own way with the options, unlike some brands that are take it or leave it....
That was never in dispute. I was just stating that they’re perfectly good cars without adding loads of options and not everyone “needs” those things. I know that some won’t be happy unless they have all the gadgets and comforts, this site shows that pretty clearly.

£111k.

It's definitely not bargain territory.
Frivolous. I got it to £101k. I reckon residuals will be £45k to £50k so a grand a month plus interest to PCP one....

If you save £300 a month on fuel costs, its no more than many cars overall....

Maybe next time.... damn no room for dog. I am out unless they do a sport turismo....

I think Porsche do take it to another level though, there are not many £90k family cars that make you pay extra for rear airbags, for instance. That's pretty damn poor. Might not be important to the first owner, might be a spec oversight that the third or fourth owner strapping his child in the back of a Cayenne is completely unaware of.

That aside, its fine that most things are expensive and bespoke. It just definitely places them in a higher price orbit than almost everything else mass-manufactured out there.

£101k? Must be sitting on unheated boards, listening to the wireless...and probably not even a HUD

No HUD, can live without. Heated seats - front I assumed were standard, didnt need rear.... and I love the wireless, well DAB these days.... oh, and the middle seat option - I tried a load when I was speccing Macan and decided the 14 ways were the best for me....

I was going to cancel most extras and just add the 5k wheels and the 5k sports design kit....

I really didnt need to know that, but thanks... maybe the new Audi wont last as long as I hoped (although its out of my price range unless the world of hospitality stages a major recovery by then and bonuses and LTIPs reappear)....

Same for me, the reason I am no longer a BMW owner.

I see a bit of debate about this, sorry OP semi relevant but not worthy of a thread itself.

How can Porsche continue to offer about 10,000,000 options combinations per car?

It's fantastic to some extent for the consumer but I assume due to volume of manufacture or something they do not have to WLTP test every single combination like BMW and other tell us they have to?

I must admit the 911 is still the go to car for me. IF they introduce the manual in the base Carrera that will be it for me. I see the 992 as a car with literally no flaws, looks wise, tech wise, other than eye watering costs. 911 poverty spec, some parking sensors due to visibility, aero kit maybe, manual, sun roof. This would be the one to purchase and I'd be off the PCP finally polishing it in a garage and telling the grandkids what that funny 3rd pedal is for and why my car is noisy and emits 'smoke' and doesn't need charging

That and you need to spend 2k on decent wheels as the base ones (at least on the models I looked at) were naff.

Well it's all done and dusted and it'll be here March. Good news on the EU 'deal' - meant I won't have to stump up the 10% extra I agreed to when originally ordering in the event of no deal.

http://www.porsche-code.com/PMEBTFD0

There's the final spec. In for a penny...

What a spec!! Awesome car, cannot wait to see your delivery pics. Have you had any sort of dealer confirmation on the 10% and price. At this stage I'm just assuming all is good.

Lovely car though. I'd have the Mission E wheels, personally.

Only in a phone call informing it'd be fine in the event of a deal so there's an element of assumption here too.

For some reason, they just do nothing for me, especially not on Gentian Blue given the colour options. There's also the required brakes, forcing another £2.5k on to the price.

Wow £37k of options. You certainly aren’t setting yourself up to minimise depreciation.

I suspect that £37k of options will be straight down the pan on driving out of the showroom

Sod Greta, get a nice GT4 or used GT3 instead and a base Golf.
