Do all F3x have the hidden power socket under the dash on the passenger side?

I'm wondering if all F3x have the hidden power socket under the dash on the passenger side. Mine is just an empty hole on the plastic panel, not sure if it was lost during the previous ownership or the car never came with it from the factory. Thanks for the replies

Mine has one and I believe many people on here run accessories through it. Apparently it does power down after a few minutes.

It seems to be hit or miss. I have one, and it works. Some say they only have the hole, others who have one say it doesn't work.

It could be unplugged from when a cabin air filter change was done, or it came loose and got pushed into the tray.

You can just remove that panel to check for sure.

Maybe Canadian spec cars didn't come with it?

Unfortunately Canadian model F30's don't come with any additional 12v outlets besides the one by the front cupholders. I added in my own outlet under the glove box since the hole was already there. Just had to buy the 12v socket (BMW Part 61346973035) and used a "add a fuse" to give it power.

Thanks, did you have to run a wire all the way from the fuse panel in the luggage compartment?

You could tap off the one between the cup holders if you're not putting a big load in both. I did that to put an outlet at the back of the console for rear seat passengers.

Add a 12v power outlet for rear seat https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1276300

Finally found it when changing the cabin air filter. BMW hid it very well.

yes i ran a 16gauge wire from the trunk along the passenger side (hidden under all the plastic panels) up to the front under the glove box. you could splice into the wires from the existing 12v by the cup holders but thats a little more permanent. the way i did it could be removed and you would never know
