Heads-Up Display Sticker Price / Install Price

While shopping for my current F30, I test drove one that had the heads-up display feature and was curious if anyone knew an estimate price that a dealership would charge in order to install that into my 2015 328i that does not have the heads-up display or if its even possible?

Thanks

No Dealer that I am aware of will do it.

It was asked by someone else and between the new dashboard, windshield, HUD, speedo and other assorted parts, it is easily north of $5k.

Someone else hacked up their dash and retrofitted, but it was still very expensive.

Just buy it in your next car. It’ll be cheaper in the long run.

I feel your pain. A headup display, and ACC, are must haves for me on any future car (I have them now). I do wish that BMW would add more features to the headup display. I know that the goal is to keep it limited and too many display items will distract from the road but BMW could control that by limiting the number of features that can be displayed. I would love a tach in the HUD.

But even as is, I love my HUD.

This.

I've had HUD in my last 3 cars and hardly ever look at it. I used it once for nav which was cool, but waze is so much better. I wish I had Apple CarPlay.

The speedometer is up in mine. I wish the name of the next maneuver would show up instead of just the miles to it. Other than that,it’s great.

You can retrofit, no need for a new dash, just cut an opening in yours. You will have to grt a new windshield though, the hud system, code it in and hook up all the electronics. What a guy i knew did, was file a claim for a cracked windshield with insurance and when it comes time to replace it, ask for the hud version... they might not charge you extra for it.

Commit Insurance Fraud.

That's the Holiday Spirit!

No wonder BMW insurance rates keep going up!
