Same here, i am a big fan of Menzerna, but shipping on huge orders was pricey if I remember correctly. My last order was quite some time ago because I bought big bottles of everything, but now I refill with SilverWax; a local company and their products are just stellar, and cheap. Two things you cant combine usually in auto detail products.

They're based in Canada right? I'm assuming you can't get their stuff in the US yet? Their pricing is legit

Can you order from Canadian Tire? I think you might have some luck there. Or any Quebec / Canadian based detailing products company.

Last question: in that video posted, one step was spraying the car with iso alcohol to clean remnants of the polish....is that necessary with the polish/primer you recommended?

Thank you for your help

I believe the directions say you don't need an alcohol wipe down, but you may want to check. If you go to Detailed Image's site, there are plenty of good write-ups in the Ask a Pro Detailer section. You can even contact their many pro detailers for advice.

The product I use (Silverwax Nano1) comes with a surface prep bottle. But it does smell like iso; with a bit of a sweet smell (all their products smells like candy-ish). Very nice kit with everything you need!

Another vote for cquartz uk. I would get it from detailed image or carpro-us. Autogeek service has taken a nose dive recently and drove me away for good. Shame as i used them exclusively.

Follow directions! Please! You need to clean, correct, prep, apply.

Bork one of these steps and you'll be calling someone like me to fix it.

Here are the steps i use.

Wash, decon with ironX, clay, wash, dry
Paint correction with rupes compound and mf pad followed by polish with foam pad. Finishing polish with fine foam pad for black cars
Prep using carpro eraser or gyeon prep. Iso doesn't have the degreasers and surfactants needed to completely remove polish oils.
Apply in small sections in crosshatch pattern. Again follow directions.
Go back and buff as directed. I found the carpro brand towels to be the best. Very short nap mf should work well.
Trash your applicators and mf towels used to apply the product when finished!
Apply reload after 1hr of cure time. Do not spray directly on the paint. Use a plush mf towel and lightly spray the reload to the towel then buff.

Let it cure. For god sake don't touch it or get it wet. Its a gremlin at this point. Just let it sit there undisturbed and let it sleep for 12hrs but 24hrs is ideal. No washing for 2 wks. Remove sap or droppings right away.

Good luck!

I have my car wrapped all but my roof. Would yal recommend ceramic coating the roof now and the rest when i remove the wrap or all at once?

Also can i ceramic coat my wheels? these M-Sport brakes dust a bunch and id like an easier clean up. Are these bottle enough to cover the car 2 times and wheels?

It makes sense to protect the exposed sections of your car now. Adam's makes a DIY kit for ceramic coating. Their products each have a different hardness for durability & ease of application. They have paint, trim & wheel coatings, as well as a prep product & "boost" renewer.

I coated my car a few weeks back and can't say enough good things. Everything you need is in the kit and it was super easy to use. The hardest part was seeing when the product rainbows on a white car.

Overall, would recommend.

With Ceramic coating, how do you polish swirl mark and scratch on the coating?

Just picked up my F31 MG today, Gyeon all the way looks like the paint is wet, fantastic finish. Can also recommend Polish Angel if you are looking to do it yourself, PA invincible primer goes on very easily & topped off with 2 coats PA Cosmic, leave in garage over night to cure - this has lasted over 12 months on VW Bug Convertible with just monthly top up of Cosmic Spritz

My understanding is you'll need an experienced detailer to sand it down. That's one of the main reasons i'm sticking with sealants for now. It's harder to scratch, but also harder to remove scratches.

I did the full CarPro kit from Detailed Image and the CQuarts 2.0 UK kit. The car looks amazing and fully worth the time and effort involved. I have a full video up on my channel of the process as well.
