While they are common in these forums, they're pretty rare to see out in the wild. I think they're about 5 lbs heavier on each corner which is more significant because it's unsprung rotational mass. In general 19" wheels aren't common on the 3 series.
The most common M Sport wheels by far are the 400m wheels. I almost prefer the sport line wheels (397) because those are machines and have their bolts hidden a little. However the 397 are even (much) more common than the 400m wheels. |

19" 403M wheels look great but are quite heavy. 19" 401 Style wheels are even heavier at 30 lbs each. I still have a set of 4 401 Style wheels with winter Pirelli Sottozero tires for sale.

These 403m's have come on almost every M Sport F30 since it's release. Either 403m or 442m. 403m had many too spokes for me, sold em

While we are on the topic...
What is considered a "decent weight" for a wheel on the F30? NOT ultra expensive aluminum wheels... just your run of the mill, OEM or similar wheel. Im beginning to wonder if mine are considered "heavy" as well but a little unsure of what the definition is. I realize this is subjective/variable depending on many factors but... more interested in peoples opinion for our platform. Last edited by sspade; 02-18-2019 at 03:55 PM.. |

As mentioned those are the 403m wheels. They were the optional 19” upgrade wheels, not part of the standard m-package. I don’t think I’d go so far as to say they’re on practically every m-sport car since release since they were a separate option. I almost never see them on the road, although YMMV.
Here’s a closeup of mine - IMHO they look great with m-sport brakes and EBII paint. |

Looks like Im rolling with 52.51 lbs on all four corners... good info to have when making decisions on wheels and tires in the future. Would definitely be interesting to see if a set up in the mid to high 40's would actually make my car faster. Both literally and feeling wise. |

light tires have the greatest impact because it lies farthest from the hub. next is the barrel being either forged or rotary forged, then the wheel face with low materiel(i.e. thin spokes) tapering narrower furthest from the hub and also proper widths and offsets to avoid having extra material. kinda anal, but i consider this in addition to appearance. the bottom line is it costs to have it light and strong. |

I have the exact same tires but DWS 06. They are 25lbs a piece. Sounds like the Sports a bit lighter. Assuming because they are a summer versus the all season DWS 06.
Ahhh.... the benefits of a year round warm/hot climate! Love my Conti's and will definitely look into the Sports when I am able to afford a dedicated summer set up! |

Are there any OEM 18's that you are aware of that fit this bill? That's ultimately what Id like. Very happy with my current OEM 18's but they weight 27.5 lbs each. 20lbs might be a dream but I would love to be in the low 20s with my next set. |
