Post BMW 4 Series Convertible (F33) Bares Its Top

BMW 4 Series Convertible (F33) Bares Its Top

COMMENTS

Have a look at the latest F33 4 Series convertible prototype, revealing more of its defining characteristic - its metal folding roof. Earlier spyshots (reposted below) show the hard top operation and the design is largely similar to the current E93 convertible.

The F33 will share the same engine and transmission options as the F32 coupe, as well as the coupe's general styling. So, imagine the coupe that you've seen revealed, but with this metal folding top.

Production of the 4 Series convertible (both 435i and 428i) begins later this year - in November 2013.

f30 seems so feminine to be. I hate how BMW is loosing its boldness in appearance in addition to all of the sub models.

From what I see on my phone it doesn't look much different than an e93 (yes I know it's still under camo). Good news though for us e93ers not wanting to be outdated quickly.

never liked convertibles and this one is no exception. The roofline just looks so weird and out of place. It also makes the back of the car look way too long, making it loose its sporting looks

I'm right there with you on this. It's kind of like, "where's the beef" in this car!
No muscle flexing or stance that tell you there's something mean under the hood.

Well in my opinion from what I see, the e93 sells a majority to women, many who do not care about what is under the hood (speaking of the car) drive the 328i and drive it for its comfort and badge. Most of the men I see driving the e93's are driving the m3 version which obviously has the muscly look all over.

Also this particular mule is probably more focused on testing the roof rather than any particular focus on another part of the car, which can explain the absence of any extra parts making it look beefier

THat's gotta be a test mule. The top looks exactly like the current E93 top, almost to the point where it looks like a photochop. I can't see BMW being this lazy, for any other reason than a test mule car.

I don't think the F30 series has vastly changed compared to the E90s. ill wait for the LCI or next generation.

based on reviews of F30 3er sedan, BMW seems to be loosing the edge in driving feel department. Also, lots of people (me too) expected a new motor released with addition of the 4 series - this does not seem to be happening. And as far as looks, whats been released on F32 doesnt seem to look that exciting...
