Depo LCI Tail Lights

Hey has anyone heard anything about the timing on these the red Depo LCI tail lights? You'd think they would have these figured out by now.

Really not looking to shell out $700+ on oem tails plus retrofit kit, drip rails etc.

You could buy OEM on ebay when a 15% or 20% coupon comes around. Thought I saw a user saying they spent around ~$450

By they way the Depo LCI tail lights just went on sale on unique style racings .com. I went for it. They ship later this month. I'll post some photos and reviews once I get them installed. Promo code B3F30TL gets 15% off.

Mixed reviews about the long term quality of DEPO...I'm torn. Looking forward to your review.

I ran Depos on my E46 for years and never had issues. The quality of the Depos on the f30 may be totally different as the f30 lights are much more complicated, but I guess I'll be the guinea pig.

I got mine yesterday. That's the benefit of living less than an hour from USR I suppose. I'll probably throw them on this afternoon or in the morning. I've gotten the process down to about 40 minutes from dealing with the POS ebay version blacklines

So are the DEPO versions better than the eBay ones? If you're willing to do coding, can you still use the harness from DEPO to plug a non-LCI car to an LCI tail? Can you just cut out the resistors?

I did receive mine yesterday, it's raining from the morning in Boston will try to install it sometime tomorrow afternoon.

They look great, unfortunately my left side outer piece was broken on arrival. I sent USR an email last night, hoping I can go out there on Friday after work and exchange them. See attached picture.

Its hard to tell quality wise, I think that they are probably similar as far as plastics and components go. What is different is the quality in the wiring harness. I can't yet comment since I didn't get to install, but just from handling the harness -- the DEPO harnesses are leaps and bounds better than the IKON ebay version. The connections were all very loose on the IKONs so whenever you got the lights working, if you closed your trunk lid they would stop working. You'd fiddle with it and get them working again and then go out and drive over a bump and get a tail light malfunction warning. Total garbage. Also my left brake left NEVER worked no matter what I did with the IKON version.

I just ordered these from URS today. The one thing I'm not sure about is if the drip rails need to be replaced as they do with the OEM upgrade. Any insight from someone who has the Depo LCI taillights would be appreciated. Thanks!
