Anyone passing the sniffer with bm3 or jb4? Gonna be running a hi flow cat that cleans up the exhaust almost as well as stock. Share your experiences!

There is no sniffer test now...just an obd2. But as of now, we don't know if it check the numbers coming from the sensor or it just check yes or no the sensor is working correctly.

My hi flow cat will pass just not a visual which I know I can get it overlooked. The CG precision cat has numbers very close to factory.

Just flash it back to stock....jb4 is carb approve, then your all set.

No one have experience. No one dare to do it....no one want there car flag for test only smog.

Why would bootmod3 not pass if the cat is there and both sensors working?

Parameters?...I sure not going to test that theory on my car with BM3. Its easy to flash back why really need to pass smog with all this mod.

No one talk about smog cause they don't even get to own the car that long. And some are paid to pass smog....opps did I say that out loud🤣

I've been paying for years that gets old. I'm gonna put the cg precision cat to the test with stage 2 bm3 ots tune. Should work with the sensors on. Worse case scenario put factory cat back on and stock map.

i'm not due for a while and i'm running MHD. I'm pretty sure as long as you leave stock dp checked and your sensors are left on and ready you'll pass.They pretty much check for the cel.

Well if you buy the car new or at least 3 years old. CARB smog is on the 8th years from the car first registered. So like my 2016....I'm expecting smog check notice on the year 2024

I just did smog and they do a visual inspection along with a sensor check. If your tune is blocking a CEL then it will pick that up and you will fail. A tune alone won't cause a failure. If you do have to flash back to stock be sure to drive 100 miles or so before you get the test as the sensors reset after a reflash and it takes time for them to get to the "ready" state.
