Ive seen the VRSF and AR ones go for around this price. Fabspeed, Wagner and FI absolutely not, but those are euro cats with low probability of a CEL.

Out of curiosity, whats the point of a catted DP if it still gives a CEL? The smell is supposedly pretty mild catless.

I haven't had one personally, but I am definitely sensitive to it and id like to avoid the rasp. I might still go that direction though.

A friend of mine had a catless and the smell was awful. My wife would shoot me.

You're swinging out of your budget for a new catted downpipe unless you go VRSF. I'd recommend saving up for Active Autowerke or CG Precision who both have no CEL guarantees.

Im basically looking for the least restrictive DP, with a tiny cat to cut down on the smell and I am not worried about a CEL. I am well aware those options are way out of my budget.

So get a CTS Turbo or VRSF. Both will definitely throw a CEL but if you don't care, those are your best bets.

Curious. Do you know what brand it was. I'm in the market and just trying to avoid the smell. I'll be going catless with BM3 tune.

Every catless downpipe will give you a gasoline smell. It's just an empty pipe. You need a high flow catted downpipe to prevent the gasoline smell. Call Mike at Extreme Powerhouse. He sells all of various downpipes at great prices. He can review all your options with you in detail.

Hope this helps!
