Thanks. It’s certainly a welcome contrast to the Q7 we’ve been sharing for the last few months.

I don’t know how I’ve ended up in this situation. I’m the car enthusiast supposedly, yet we’re in two cars chosen by the wife, albeit with the engine of my choice on the second. Could be worse, first world problems.

Looks very nice, enjoy...and just in time for lockdown to be lifted and get some proper miles on it....

(unless Chesterfield is in Tier 3 then it will be more of the same)

Looks great. I'm beginning to regret not ordering one to replace my Mini, particularly now the price has gone up and eligibility for the scheme is a lot tougher. Look forward to hearing how it drives.

It looks like my grandmother being a teacher half a century ago no longer qualifies me for a forces/NHS discount...

Very nice, enjoy.

I see it's from Park Lane, I've just been looking at the Park Lane NHS offers on the electric Mini Cooper S!

£349pm (1+47) doesn't look like a good deal to me, particularly for a Level 1 (basic spec) Mini Electric with an OTR of £25,100.

I recently had a Level 3 (£31,100 OTR) Mini Electric for the day and wrote about it here: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1776760

Yep, my sister in law being a TA didnt qualify me either so I bought an Audi instead....

They will extend who qualifies again later when there is more stock available and no buyers.....

It’s not stock, just sheer numbers of orders they were getting, or so they told me. They’re generally factory orders, with very few stock cars included. They wouldn’t even search for a stock car for me. The department is all about volume, they just bang the paperwork through for the factory order and move on. Also the driver told me today the logistics is set up to collect from storage either near the ports, or with this from the factory. They generally don’t touch the dealer, so stock cars are avoided as much as possible.

You do have to sense check some of the offers. Some are brilliant, with dealers not able to get even close, as was the case with this when I checked. Some are just ordinary, like the 5 series deals, that Stratstone are currently beating on their offers pages.

Looks terrific Alex. But then I do like a car with character...

Enjoy, perfect for the roads around you I reckon.

Thanks - useful review there

I didn't know the difference in specs until I started looking at these, but as you said in your review the entry level cars are quite basic. Level 3 is what I'd want, but I could probably be happy with Level 2.

Perhaps a used i3 may be a better bet, not that I need to change at the mo, just looking at what an electric city car might look like

It is, I even have several miles of twisty national speed limit country roads on the childminder and school run in a morning.

My OH has always had a soft spot for Minis but never quite committed.

Let's hope your Mrs enjoys it

Very nice indeed, I'm thinking about one for the mrs as her next car, of course it'd be more for me than her

Congrats Alex, seeing yours I’m now a bit envious now that I didn’t follow through with mine in the end.

First impressions is its very fast, a Cooper S would of been more then enough for the other half especially as she was coming from a 115ps qashqai. It feels small to drive for its size but is actually quite spacious inside, it has more rear room then the qashqai.
Only done 40 miles in the rain but would already say the ZF8 is a better gearbox but i'm sure after i've learned to drive this more i'll get use to the way it behaves. Also getting use to the All4 which does give it amazing traction in the wet and the brakes are very strong. I thought it would come with 18" Michellin Super Sports but its actually got Pirelli P Zero's. I didnt expect it to have the widescreen nav screen either but it does as i didnt spec media XL.

Very happy wife and kids love it so i think we'll be hanging onto this for a while.
