[SOLVED] Common issue with halogen headlamp adjuster?

Hi,

I own a 2014 F30 with halogen headlights that have a manual adjustment wheel for the headlights (UK car). Example at the bottom.

Recently, my car failed its MOT because the manual headlights adjustment is not working. No matter if I set it to 0 or 3, the headlights don't move up or down at all.

Interestingly, the headlight motors seem to be functioning fine because when I switch lights off and on they move up and down. I've checked all the fuses (#40, #57, #100, #161), and they're all in working order. Additionally, there are no fault codes showing up.

I recently spoke to other BMW F30 owner who has the same issue with their F30 and experiences the same symptoms. I also came across a few posts on reddit where users had similar problems but were unable to find a resolution. Example here where author had issue and never resolved.

Does anyone here have any ideas on what could potentially solve this issue? Or perhaps suggestions on where to look into the wiring? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Garage List
It could be the switch itself then.

I have checked with other cars switch and still doesn't work. I also disassembled the switch and checked all the electronics and looks fine.
