Out of a sudden (no changes before) I get a bootloop on my Mekede CCC Android 10 Snapdragon 625 4+64GB. Software versions were updated long time ago to the today still latest versions of MCU (023052dGS-CCC-GTL-210617-B18) and APP (Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v3.1.5).

The genuine BMW menu works fine. So assume it is not a bug in the MCU environment?
On the Android side I get the splashcreen followed by "android" and can access the menu on below screenshot for about one minute. Then the "android" screen returns and stays forever.

I tried a factory reset from the menu on the screenshot I mentioned above - without change.

I tried to reinstall the Android software by connecting Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v3.1.5-ota.zip placed on a 8GB FAT-32 disk-on-key but nothing happened.

Slowly I am running out of ideas what I still could do.

A last idea I still had was to remove the SIM and SD-cards in the system, but didn't manage to get them out of their slots - quite embarrassing as I am not that unhandy usually. Didn't see a hole for ejection and also pushing both cards deeper into their slots hoping a spring mechanism would jump them out then did not get into action either. Didn't spend more efforts on that, as I am not sure how far that is related to the problem I face.

I searched for a reset button, but only see two holes to the left and right of the screen. As I assume microphones are placed behind these holes, I didn't want to push into them with a paper clip searching for a reset button...

Any ideas what I could do?

I also tried the "SD 625 OTA Recovery installation" from this thread's first page. Named a Windows FAT32 formatted USB flash drive "_kswota_" and placed the Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v3.1.5-ota.zip on it renaming it "Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v-ota-reset-data_factory.zip". Plugged it in and waited 5 minutes from power-on. After the splash-screen the system still freezes showing "android". On the thumbdrive I then find a file named Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v-ota_factory.flag.txt. But it is empty. The legacy BMW user interface works without problem.

Nobody any idea?

Android Auto sounds really nice, and I would like to install It. However, how does this integrate with the HUD. I do seem to find all questions, but no conclusive answers. So does anyone have an example of the HUD working and with what type of info? Really love the current inboard navigation directions right in front of me. 2014 F31, NEXT

I am still stuck with the same problem described above. Is there no reset button on this device? Front images I had posted above. Now here is the rear. Don't see anything that looks like "reset".
I also disconnected the vehicle from battery. That did not get the headunit out of its boot-loop however.

Hello everyone, I am completely new to the forum. I have tried to find information on my Headunit without luck. I have a 2015 320i Sportline F30 with NBT entry_nav 6.5" screen with bluetooth (no navigation, no Carplay). In my quest to get Carplay in my car, I bought an aftermarket Headunit. Thinking that i may as well take advantage of investing in a Carplay connection, I decided to increase the screen size, so I bought a 10.25" Android 12 Headunit. It has been 6 months since it was installed. It works flawlessly 99.9% of the time ( the only things I cannot get to work is the volume settings - specifically Waze announcements sound super load if no other sound is being fed thru-, and cell chip-which I don't really need but want it to work), I am quite happy with the purchase. I now have Carplay, Android Auto, and Android HeadUnit on which I can install any android app. I have installed several 3rd party Launchers and weather apps, etc. everything works perfectly well. When I get in the car it fires right up to the Android Interface and 30sec later Carplay is loaded and connected. Love it. (I do have iPhone 14).

I do however have lots of questions and wanted your help. Since it is aftermarket (no specific brand), I need more information on the unit, I would like to know all I can so that I may exploit all its potential. Included with the unit I have a digital manual which I have transcribed (not much info there), and all the ID information I can find (Below). I would like to begin here. I have not found more information using this. Also, in my research I have discovered that the IDs info do not match the standard info on the net (I see no CIC,NBT, NBT_Evo anywhere in the ID numbers, no Ksw in the App vers, etc.). This makes me doubt the authenticity of the Headunit (I know I took the risk purchasing a no-brand, but what's done is done, make the best of it).

So, I am looking for help in Identifying and exploit the unit as much as possible, what compatibility it has with the CAN system, what info I can display, what is the default launcher version/name, how to setting affect the functionality, how to control volumes, it is a FAKE/genuine HeadUnit, etc. So, any help is much appreciated!

If someone is interested how I got my headunit out of being stuck at startup showing "android":
I removed the 16 GB SD-card which was in the unit ever since I bought it.
Then the unit booted as usual.

I had a look at the content of the SD-card:
It showed the typical collection of folders Android places on external media with almost all of them empty.
The folder /Android/data/com.sygic.aura contained 4.1 GB of data however.
In there the file /files/Maps/pse.os.2015.10 delivered an error when trying to copy it.
Maybe because of that Android hang on startup?

Anyhow now it is working and that is great!
I am still wondering how sygic at all got onto my headunit.
I never installed it and it does not look to be part of the standard package of apps coming with the system.
Anyone any idea?
