DRL always on

Is this possible to code on an f30 2016? I have bimmercode but probably an esys job. Thanks.

I want drls always on regardless of light setting that's chosen i.e. dipped.

Are your DRL halogens or angel eyes?

Angel Eyes should be always on; they just change intensity depending on switch position and ambient light.

You can change the brightness but for that specific option for all light switches, I used Carly.
My DRLS (Angel eyes) stay on at 100% on any switch except for low beams. They then drop to about 20-30%.
Still working on that one.

This can be coded using esys. I don’t know how by heart, but it’s in the cheatsheet.

Edit:
I believe it’s this:

Change Angel Eye Brightness when headlamps on (Left):
FEM_BODY 3062 MAPPING_STANDL_V_L_PWM_LEVEL_1
Default: 8
Change to: 32

Change Angel Eye Brightness when headlamps on (Right)
FEM_BODY 3062 MAPPING_STANDL_V_R_PWM_LEVEL_1
Default: 8
Change to: 32

Still looking to do this on a halogen with the white drl bar. I've read it's in the fle module. I've tried the above but it doesn't work unfortunately on this type.

FLE is for LCI LED's. TMS for LED's/Xenons.
Halogens in FEM.

My bimmercode only has MAPPING_STANDL_V_L_PWM_LEVEL_STANDARD and not pwm 1. Would this be in the fem module via esys? Cable turned up today.

Coding varies by headlight type as well as firmware. The above is in FEM.

Alright thanks. I'll have a look in esys but I'm not expecting to see it. If not then I guess it's not possible on mine

Also, mine is an LED LCI. I have an LED white bar on the light so still will be worth checking fle.

I think we have similar headlights. These?
I'm still working on mine.

Unfortunately not. Mine originally were these. But now on depos. With the original lights the DRL bar turns off when dipped beam is on, as it should of course. But now it's having the same effect on the depos by turning the angel eyes off when dipped beam is on because it treats it like a daylight running light.

I'm going to try something soon with esys and hopefully it'll work. Tried so much fem coding but no luck.

So I used esys today and unfortunately the FLE module isn't available under the SVT. Is there something I'm missing or does my car only use the FEM_BODY module? I also looked in there but can only find MAPPING_STANDL_V_L_STANDARD and not pwm_level_1. This sucks. Any ideas? :/

Edit: I don't think this is possible unfortunately. It's a wiring job.

FLE is only found in cars with LED's.

The coding, to which you refer, requires Xenons or LED's.

I am trying the same thing. I have an LCI F30 with halogen bulbs and LED DRLS and I installed the DEPOs for pre LCI. The angel eyes turn off when low beams are on. Tried Carly as well no luck. Did you find a way?

No unfortunately it's a wiring job. I've now adjusted the car's wiring loom and depos work perfect. You need to cut the DRL cable which is powered when the car's sidelights is turned on (it dimms the drls) and the low beam cable. Then a diode between them so when the low beam is on, it powers the side light cable and when the side light is on, power isn't sent to the low beam. It's a simple job and took me a few weeks of making diagrams to make sure I got it right but all works fine now

That's GREAT NEWS man. Bit of a long shot, but do you have a diagram that can help? The guy that fitted my headlights is clueless and said there are loads of wires and he doesn't know what to do.. says if he knows exactly what to do he will try again. Any help will be much much appreciated.

Yes I'll get them off my grandfather who made them up for me as he's an electrician. I'll try to post them tomorrow or in a few days when I next see him and can take a picture. He should remember which colour wires we cut so you can just follow that and cut the two colours.
