Interior Mods! Lets see some pics of your F3x!
Hey everyone, this should be a fun one. If this thread already exists, kindly direct me to it, but I have yet to see one like it.
I've seen some really nice interior work done on here, and so I'm now tossing around the idea of interior mods for my F30, and would love to see what you guys have all come up with! So far I have slip on Aluminum Pedals and that's it. I have a base, no line car, and I'm looking to spice it up a little while staying classy and avoiding cheap/cheesy. I quite like carbon fiber, but that's hard to do inexpensively and classily/non cheesily. I'm also a massive fan of the M perf interior kit, so I'd love to see some more pics of that. However, I really want to see everything you all have got. I have the silver trim and black leather everywhere, so I think everything will match. So, lets see some pics! I'm really looking forward to any and all additions to this thread, no matter how minor the modification!

Did some accent stitching throughout the interior. I was inspired by a thread on here somewhere. Low cost, but high effort and time. Worth it though! I also have a base no line car. Definitely makes it stand out.

Wow that looks really nice. Very subtle, but nice nonetheless. I always wondered why they couldn't just do subtle colored stitching from the factory, it's no more expensive than black stitching and looks 100x better. Something for me to consider for sure, thanks for posting.

I definitely had you in mind starting this thread lol you're interior looks fantastic... Are all your CF bits part of the M Perf. Interior kit, or did things like the shifter and door pulls come separately? Like I said I love the kit, but really can't spring for it right now. But I feel like all my silver with just the CF shifter or door pulls would look tacky, it kind of has to be all or nothing. Pics of the door sills? Thanks for posting

I did the 6wb digital dash retrofit and plan to do the NBT headunit and LCI center plate LED retrofit. My opinion is, if you aren't upgrading / swapping with other oem parts or options, it will probably look cheesy.

How hard was that to install? I've had the retro fit in the back of my mind but I've had trouble finding the part on its own, let alone the process for removing and installing.

The physical install was very easy, it is about 2 torx bolts, you tilt the cluster out, and unplug. The coding session needed to be scheduled with BimmerTech, this took about 30 minutes. If you have a 6WA already, I would keep that, since the 6WB isnt much of a jump.

I like the alcantara theme too. Maybe an alcantara shift boot and console cover? KC328_F30 do you have pics of the doorsills, if it's not a pain. I'm guessing they're OE too? These ones?: https://www.bimmerworld.com/BMW-Part...UaAi8fEALw_wcB

Just a few little interior mods.
I'd like an M Sport steering wheel but I don't know if I can retrofit paddles on my car. Having nonfunctional paddles would bother me more than the base steering wheel, and M Sport wheels I can find without paddles are missing cruise control.

About the steering wheel, IMO it's the biggest sore spot in the base F30. So like I said, in the pursuit of cheap but nice solutions, I just ordered one of these: https://www.amazon.com/MEWANT-Custom...steering+wheel Not sure if it's really your style but I figured I'd throw it out there. I did the exact same style as in the pictures, perforated leather on the 9 and 3 and ///M colored stitching. Definitely not a replacement for the M steering wheel but it's a hell of a lot cheaper and most importantly a marked upgrade over OE, IMO. It's an artificial leather steering wheel wrap that you stitch on yourself, I think it looks pretty cool, and if it looks cheesy for $30 I don't have to feel bad for not liking it. I'll post pics once I have it installed but the delivery time is a while since they're made to order.

Just added my M Sport wheel. I decided to do the same stitching I did throughout the interior. I think it looks great.
Also, to the guy who doesn't think he can retrofit paddles, it's easy! Just get the hardware and the. You just need to run one wire from the steering column to the FEM.

The more I see pictures the more I think M Perf interior kit is the way to go... I'm starting to like alcantara more than carbon. Thanks all for posting so far

Quick question about the paddle conversion. Do you still need to bump the stick left and then bump it into Manual mode? I’m going to M convert my interior but wanted to do my homework on steering wheels beforehand
