Boost Leak? Post VRSF Chargepipe Install
Just installed the VRSF charge pipe last weekend, along with a BMS intake and JB4 running on map 1. The car pulled super hard the first few days. But now I am almost 100% sure I have a leak because I will push the gas all the way down and I get very little pull compared to the days before and hear a loud whooshing sound as well on the driver's side. Don't tell me this is the turbo spool because it's not, I was running the same setup with stock charge pipe and never had this problem. I also noticed backfire/crackles when letting off the gas. I only have a MPE exhaust, stock DP. I won't be able to get under the car and take a look until Friday but when I installed the charge pipe I made sure everything was tight and connected properly. Any ideas where I should start?
Also the stock side of the intercooler is only connected with the metal clamp. I didn't bother trying to put on the black retainer clip. One more thing, I don't know if this is related but ever since I installed JB4/bolt ons even with the stock charge pipe, I noticed the car hesitate at random times usually when driving normal. It's only a once in a while thing, didn't happen before any ideas what that could be? No codes were found by the JB4. Thanks for all the help! |

You need to double check connections and make sure everything is installed correctly.
Once you double check install, post a datalog Good luck

I would check the silicone fitting that connects both parts of the charge pipe together .... I had thee same issue except I had a loud pop on the highway lol
Now I installed JB4 and stuff and only having low end power issues in terms of daily driving ... gonna try to resolve that next |

Make sure the couplers and clamp are square and tight (tighten more if necessary). Also at the TB connection, make sure it's full secured. They can be installed and not full secured and in turn leak boost. Also, did you install the O ring on the CP where it mates to the TB?

It's always the same things.. user error on install.. either an oring is messed up, not installed correctly etc or the the clamps on the coupler aren't right. You have to figure it out from there.
